Umm only been on a plane in a storm once, over Canadian/US boarder, wasn't pleasant especially as by then everyone had already been on the plane for hours and some had soaked a lot of alcohol by then.

There is a saying in aviation, "any landing that you walk away from is a good landing", so never mind the storms, they are just for added interest.
I don't know that hotel. The one I stayed at had a red light outside. I had to stop going there as they always wanted you to share the room. Not my style at all.
I feel like a dose of sherry trifle and a cuppa. Is it the weekend or am I dreaming?

Socco you're right about the landings :-)
Red light hotels definately give a wide birth.

So, there I was last night closing down my PC when this massage popped up saying that MS upgrade was ready to install Microsoft Exploder 7. So I now have this nice new explorer screen which, oddly enough, is exactly the same as the one I had before.
Iffy day on the old portofilo, like my school reports used to say "could do better".

Hi Socs, IE7 is fairly good, main benefit is that it has tabs (which other excellent browsers have had for a while) its just been released from a huge public beta and the release version is much better that the final beta. It appears to be very stable and fast I have to say I am impressed and I am not normally impressed by MS.
Your right about a landing that you can walk away from being a good one, when I was a pilot I tested that every time I landed ;-)

I was using the latest MS Explorer Beta and have not yet noticed any difference. Mind you, I only use the basic functions because I don't know any better. I'm OK with tabs though.

Socs, no functional differences between the release and the beta, its faster on my machine and so far it has not crashed. I reemoved the beta last week because i was ahving problems with crashes and with some secure sites.

Hello, sunshine on a Saturday, whatever next?
Busy weekend for Socco, antiques fair at the racecourse and then shopping today. Tomorrow a family history fair at the Pump Room.
Now for something really important, breakfast. Since I can't decide between FEB or continental I'll have both.

Ah, found it.
Appears to be some pickled onions up here as well.
"Warning, extra hot left over x-mass pickled onions, 2003".
Anybody fancy a onion or two with their sarnies?
