i would like to think the mm's want them to sell as the price climbs the following day. a little bit of manipulation god forbib. i have noticed recently a couple of times relativly large selling days where the price has stayed steady or even moved north, for the following day to a see 7 or 8 percent rise the following day. it might be coincidence but with no news and quite low volume it makes me think. i totatly agree with the 98p to 1 resistance maybe tomorrow we can break through the barrier and look for the 120p. we can hope for nothing.the 100p barrier is quite frustrating for me as i bought most of my vog shares at 101p.
good luck everyone tomorrow i another day.

tilvis - 23 Aug 2006 16:48 - 1170 of 2511

is another day, sorry

bonfield - 23 Aug 2006 18:25 - 1171 of 2511

I ignore the buy/sell ratio personally. I don't think it can be relied upon. The price tells the story, usually. I've not bought in yet janet, I'm waiting for a decisive break of 100 or a drop back maybe to 90p. We'll see.

janetbennison - 23 Aug 2006 21:22 - 1172 of 2511

I did not sell any vog today, although I must admit the temptation was there at .98p. bonfield you may weel beable to buy back at .90 as most days there seems to be large movements in price. the only problem with vog there seems to be quite a large spread between buy and selling prices. we will have to wait and see what tomorro brings. I have ended up buying 10,000 hardman today at .5844p this was from the previous days order, which for some reason or other did not get cancelled at the close. They dropped considerably today.

Peter123 - 24 Aug 2006 12:08 - 1173 of 2511

We need to break the 100p mark. Please

skyhigh - 24 Aug 2006 12:51 - 1174 of 2511

surprise surprise ! it's fallen back from the 100p level... just doesn't want to play ball for the time being.

cynic - 24 Aug 2006 13:05 - 1175 of 2511

as i mentioned a day or two back, 98 is a very real resistance

bonfield - 29 Aug 2006 12:25 - 1176 of 2511

looks like you were right cynic. Where is it heading next? down or sideways?

skyhigh - 29 Aug 2006 12:50 - 1177 of 2511

Grim at the moment !

steveo - 30 Aug 2006 21:16 - 1178 of 2511

cynic looks like you were right on petrofac, had a look at ashtead recently?

robvernon - 31 Aug 2006 11:40 - 1179 of 2511

No updates for over a month now are we perhaps looking at some bad news hence the delay? Surely if 103 was good then we would have been told, delays almost always mean poor results. Price is holding (just) although resistance below 98 now. Just seems to be in limbo and doesn't inspire much confidence, the price is just going nowhere but then I suppose there has been no RNS updates. Any views appreciated as not sure whether to get out or keep holding.

skyhigh - 31 Aug 2006 12:07 - 1180 of 2511

I'd like to think it's no news is good news ! However, not sure what to think..something tells me it could all be going pear shaped. I'm continuing to hold-will probably regret it...always do !

WOODIE - 31 Aug 2006 12:10 - 1181 of 2511

i spoke to george a couple of weeks ago, he said the next update will be at the latest the end of the 3Rd quarter which is sept, so there is no delay in issuing the rns.

robvernon - 31 Aug 2006 12:15 - 1182 of 2511

skyhigh and woodie
thanks for comments and info lets hope good news by end of Sept then, will hold i think.

janetbennison - 31 Aug 2006 20:40 - 1183 of 2511

I am hanging on too. I have been with victoria now for two years and I paid 2.50 per share in april this year. I am on a massive loss, so I think it is best now to hang on and hope for the best.

Rutherford - 01 Sep 2006 04:55 - 1184 of 2511

I dont believe they are behind schedule as they were proposing to core 600ft. if I remember correctly and a best case scenario would be 30 ft per day + trips to clean out well etc. so I would be looking for some news in around 2 to 3 weeks as they are going to test different zones so running of plugs etc. will take extra time and testing time scale depends greatly on engineers requirements so would not be too impatient at the moment. I would think the longer the better as it probably means something to test. IMHO DYOR

soul traders - 01 Sep 2006 12:00 - 1185 of 2511

Good comment, Ruthers. Was getting itchy feet yesterday, but reminded myself that the company clearly thinks the best prospects are still ahead of it. If they find 100 mmbbl or equivalent then that would be worth around 250 mil in NPV at 10% discount, so would clearly turbocharge the SP.

WDIK, PDYOR.

ma - 07 Sep 2006 10:32 - 1186 of 2511

Bit quiet here - but shares showing a bit of movement - anyone know why?

cynic - 07 Sep 2006 10:40 - 1187 of 2511

sorry, but posted comment on GOO ..... in essence - drill update(s) almost certainly imminent and strong resistance at 98 at last breached

soul traders - 07 Sep 2006 10:41 - 1188 of 2511

Morning all - over a quid again, at last! We're off the day's highs, though. Roll on, drilling news; I want some action on my portfolio (preferably the profitable kind!)
