So there we have it, it is Saturday once more. I suppose, on balance, that means tomorrow will be Sunday and the day after that Socco will be back at work. Just when I was getting used to mooching around all day.

KEAYDIAN - 04 Nov 2006 11:20 - 11759 of 24230

Spaceman - 04 Nov 2006 12:06 - 11760 of 24230

Keaydian, help yourself, I also recommend a wrm danish, on cold winter days like this they warm you up nicely.

Spaceman - 06 Nov 2006 12:49 - 11761 of 24230

Morning from NY, bright and sunny here we are overlooking the East Siver from our 31st floor hotel room. Looks like today will include a visit to the Museum of Modern Art and possibly a trip to Harlem, its funny how much of a barrier to the rest of Manhatan central Park is, in the 25 years since I first visited NY I have only been past the park once.

stockbunny - 06 Nov 2006 12:58 - 11762 of 24230

I hope you are putting in a nice amount of early Xmas shopping whilst you're there...speaking of which, my list will follow shortly.........
;>)

Spaceman - 06 Nov 2006 13:18 - 11763 of 24230

Bunny, hand luggage only, just got space for a couple of CDs ;-)

xamaxfranco - 06 Nov 2006 13:29 - 11764 of 24230

Do you know Central Park was copied from the first municipal park in the world
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Birkenhead_Park

Spaceman - 06 Nov 2006 14:07 - 11765 of 24230

xamaxfranco, I didnt know that but the picture of the boathouse is certainly very similar to some of the building on central park. I love central Park in the winter especially on Sundays.

stockbunny - 06 Nov 2006 14:35 - 11766 of 24230

Rats! ...........(thinking)

..........................

OK got it!
I'll mail you a suitcase - ahhh problem solved! ;>)

Socrates - 06 Nov 2006 16:57 - 11767 of 24230

I'm here, did you miss me?

optomistic - 06 Nov 2006 17:21 - 11768 of 24230

'xamaxfranco' Hello and welcome, if you are to visit here regularly can we shorten your name? I can't get my typing fingers to sort those letters out :-)
Hello Socco, have you been away.

Socrates - 06 Nov 2006 17:24 - 11769 of 24230

I've been at work Opto, just for a couple more months and then retirement beckons.

optomistic - 06 Nov 2006 18:18 - 11770 of 24230

Socco, you don't know how much you will enjoy your retirment and how busy you will be until ( everyone seems to think you have nothing to do) you have retired.

KEAYDIAN - 07 Nov 2006 09:22 - 11771 of 24230

Morning tea and toast please with side pot of jam.
