Socrates - 10 Nov 2006 17:05 - 11811 of 24230

I was very busy when I was on holiday, in fact I had to go back to work for a rest!

Spaceman - 10 Nov 2006 17:20 - 11812 of 24230

Socs, I shall be back for a rest on Monday, currently sitting in the sun in Long Island listening to the one oclock news on Radio 4 over the internet and thinking of having some lunch before walking down to the beach ;-)

Socrates - 10 Nov 2006 18:05 - 11813 of 24230

Here it is 18:05, cold, wet and dark!

Spaceman - 13 Nov 2006 10:51 - 11814 of 24230

Morning all, just arrived home in Sevenoaks and its bright and sunny. Flight was fine but my car had a flat battery when I got to the car park, luckily the parking people our used to this problem and they sent a van round and had it sorted in about 5 minutes.

Any chance of a quick Danish before I have a snooze.

KEAYDIAN - 13 Nov 2006 11:21 - 11815 of 24230

Welcome back.

Danish warming.

stockbunny - 13 Nov 2006 11:31 - 11816 of 24230

jeffmack - 13 Nov 2006 12:15 - 11817 of 24230

Shouldnt you girlies have started your pre christmas diets by now

This_is_me - 13 Nov 2006 14:38 - 11818 of 24230

Yes jeff they should be too busy making Christmas cakes for us to have time to eat!

stockbunny - 13 Nov 2006 14:51 - 11819 of 24230

Don't need a diet Jeffie, as if I did go on one I would disappear and you're just not that lucky! ;>)
T-I-M - sounds like the order of the wooden stirring spoon should be yours today ;>)

KEAYDIAN - 13 Nov 2006 15:16 - 11820 of 24230

Jeffmack if you mean me, I'm happy to report I'll be returning to the gym on the 4th Dec.

jeffmack - 13 Nov 2006 15:29 - 11821 of 24230

Every christmas and easter I urge my wife to not buy any sweet things as she always ends up eating them before the day and having to buy more.

stockbunny - 13 Nov 2006 16:16 - 11822 of 24230

Sounds like a very good piece of planning to me JM! ;>)

Socrates - 13 Nov 2006 16:35 - 11823 of 24230

Somebody mentioned a diet? I have two diets, I'm still hungry after one.

stockbunny - 13 Nov 2006 16:38 - 11824 of 24230

LOL good one Socs ;>)
OK I'm off now, turn the lights out when you go Socs - cheers :>)

Spaceman - 13 Nov 2006 17:01 - 11825 of 24230

I need to go on a pre xmas diet as I am 4 stone overweight, however before I start I am of to the Spice Club this evening to celebrate returning home !

optomistic - 13 Nov 2006 18:18 - 11826 of 24230

4 stone Spacie....... !!

Socrates - 13 Nov 2006 20:30 - 11827 of 24230

4 Stone, that's almost a whole leg!

Spaceman - 13 Nov 2006 20:37 - 11828 of 24230

Afraid so, It had occurred to me that losing a leg would deal with the problem in one go.

Its slowly crept up over the years but the time has come to deal with the problem, trouble is my success at losing weight is nowhere near as high as my success in losing money through shares !

Any ideas?

optomistic - 13 Nov 2006 21:18 - 11829 of 24230

Keep the leg, and don't trade shares. Just keep to investing in quality stocks....So say I .....LOL
