Socs, I remember in the old days when we only used to get a weekend every week, you try telling that to the youngsters of today.....

That sounds like the days when only rich kids had socks and you only went into the living room on Sunday.

Socs what are socks ?
I though they were only allowed in the living room when someone had died ;-) I actually knew some people who were so posh that not only did they have socks they also has a lounge and a dining room and a colour telly and they went on holidays abroad.

True, some were only allowed in the living room when someone had died, usually it was themselves, in a box!
I'm off to the trolley race soon, must put some juice in the old chara' too, running on fumes at present.

How things have changed, you only need a small mortgage to fill up with petrol these days!

Morning Socs,
yes I filled up 3 of our fleet of 4 cars on Wednesday and it cost 160, I shall be pleased when I have got rid of 2 of them!
Lovely day in Hastings bright and sunny and cold.

I looked up the cheapest petrol station on the web and found that for top grade unleaded, Waitrose was my best buy. Just as well because I had just put 51 worth of juice in the tank from there. Saved 4p per litre on 60 litres. It's not a lot but every little helps.

Socs there is a good site that keeps an eye on the prices of petrol and you can subscribe and get them to send you updates. Here it is
http://www.petrolprices.com/
The trouble is I only use Shell V-Power petrol and that tends to be a bit more expensive. 2 of the 3 I filled up hold 70L and the other one holds 60L I normally run my cars from full to empty but as I was going on holiday I deliberatly ran them to even emptier than usual !!!

That's the website I use also, I tried your link though but it seems not to work. I use the Shell stuff too, my nearest filling station is Shell. I don't save enough to make it worth the extra distance of going specifically to the cheaper one.

Socs, interesting and it looks as though there is a problem with the MAM link processor thing because the HTML code looks OK, for some reason its putting www.moneyam/tradersroom in front of the link!
Shell V-power is excellent fuel I would also consider using Tesco 99 Ron if I could not get Shell as thats also excellent and has slight green credentials (5% Ethanol).
