Stage coach after hour sales (SGC)

washlander - 01 Nov 2003 00:27

Again huge buys after hours.Why?

mitzy - 08 Dec 2008 09:39 - 12 of 62

Sunday Telegraph said sell the downturn is affecting the banking sector in London and will reduce passenger numbers.

Snip - 08 Dec 2008 10:25 - 13 of 62

I have bought sgc to add to the portfolio. Nice yield and a target of about 155

mitzy - 08 Dec 2008 15:03 - 14 of 62

Market up 200p oints and Sgc down 10p...

Snip - 08 Dec 2008 15:58 - 15 of 62

mitzy, it is important to stand back, be objective and to take emotion out of the picture

mitzy - 08 Dec 2008 16:08 - 16 of 62

good luck to you Snip its difficult sometimes.

mitzy - 08 Dec 2008 16:08 - 17 of 62

Snip - 08 Dec 2008 16:21 - 18 of 62

I`m having a great time today. I look after a large sipp for my husband and am pleased to say that it is back in profit. SGC is just a tiny addition to it but oaks grow from acorns.

EDIT: maybe some explanation needed. I see a base forming at around 120 so I am bottom fishing

mitzy - 09 Dec 2008 17:40 - 19 of 62

Well done snip up 12% today.

Snip - 10 Dec 2008 06:07 - 20 of 62

hi no surprise. I don`t day trade any more, used to in the past, dow and ftse. Just boring investing and sometimes selling these days. I am fully invested now as cash only gets 0.1% and I see good value and yields in lots of stocks but am playing the safe stocks route

I am a TA person and used to have flashing screens but have cut back everything except for ss eod

I will probably keep sgc after 155, it is just that 155 is the first target so nice to quote. I have 21 stocks, 4 large gilts and 1 pib in the portfolio. I sold a short dated gilt a few days ago and went on a share spending spree.

Snip - 12 Dec 2008 18:24 - 21 of 62

sharescope end of day.

Snip - 20 Jan 2009 16:03 - 22 of 62

I am in again today

mitzy - 21 Jan 2009 13:06 - 23 of 62

Snip - 21 Jan 2009 18:18 - 24 of 62

mitzy - 21 Jan 2009 21:31 - 25 of 62

good move upwards today.

dreamcatcher - 23 Jun 2012 06:45 - 31 of 62

Tuesday will bring us full-year results from rail and bus operator Stagecoach . At the time of its pre-close update in April, things were looking good, with like-for-like revenue growth expected in all four of the company's divisions. The US transport division, which accounts for more than 10% of overall business, is forecast to grow its revenues by 14%, which is the strongest of them all.

So what's Stagecoach looking like as an investment? The dividend for the year is expected to come in at only around 3%, but the shares have fallen this year, and despite having put in a good three-year performance, they're on a price-to-earnings (P/E) ratio for the year of under 10, which is not stretching.
