evening all, out for a lovely lunch in W1...stuffed (mozzerala to start, sea bream with balsamic and spinich for mains and a double espresso).
great banter today, all feels like we are pushing in the right direction. the only thing i don't get is the placement level. i am surprised it is at 19p...do we have confirmation? if it is 19p these things will be 25p in no time

Think that the 19p placing is just speculation, perhaps fuelled by the Killik note and some press speculation. Would be good if it was that price though. Sounds like a good lunch you had Prop, better than my turkey sandwich.

The boys on ADVFN think it will be 17p. For the instutions to get on board it must carry a substantial discount. Watch this space and all will be revealed.
The thing I like about this thread is that we can all drift in and out of making a serious comment without some one getting the hump. Not so on other threads or BB's

I guess we will find out soon. Hope it's very soon as I want to get more of these but waiting to find out what the placing price will be. Was tempted to buy today but held off, may regret it but who knows.
I also remember that PCI did a recent placing of 72m shares at 13p to institutions to raise 9.4m. The RNS for this came out on 27/9, the sp that day opened at 14 and closed at 14.75. So there was also a discount there so I would assume that there would be one here.

so true MS you utter ba@%~*d! (couldn't resist!)
lunch was a pre christmas treat..i need to lose a few pounds before the stuffing begins
i would agree with the 17p. decent disc to current levels but higher than 3 months ago. bodes well for the future as long as we have long term institutions involved we can avoid the punters flipping and keeping an overhang on the sp. maybe the deal isn't so bad for minorities after all - we would rather get this swiftly away and held and then sit back and watch our transformed company fly.

Looking back over some of the trades today, there was a 2.5m at 19p near close and also a 2.557m at 19p. Hmmm...

Maybe SWW, but they will be in the price by now. I'm sure there will be buyers for them anyway!
So if we assume that the placing price is 17p, does anyone think that the sp will actually get there or near it, say 18. I don't know if it will. When PCI did their placing at 13, the sp never got there. Different circumstances I know but just curious.
Anyway, Go SEY!!! Couldn't resist!

Here's my best tip of the day.....get one of those cold sleeves (about 6.99 in the supermarkets) for the wine and it chills whilst your drinking it...ideal!!

Thinking of you seaside dwellers as the rain pours down and the wind howls, hope the night passes ok. I live on Dartmoor so well away from the waves but not the wind!! I've always wanted a home right by the sea but now see the drawbacks--maybe the Bahamas might be best if SEY keeps going. Here's hoping for a good rise in SEY tomorrow.

It's nuts down here tonight. Wind howling ,sea raging, seaweed all over the roads.I don't know about you SWW but I'll be amazed if we've got much of a seawall left come morning!

Well in the morning as I stare across the estuary,
I look at the sea which at high tide is higher than the land behind and think..........................................
That'll go one day!
