It is thought that Steve Maine could be in for as much as K760 2*K380 payments the 2nd one payable in 6 months time dependant on him not taking a job beforehand (reported in Business Telegraph) That is not a bad reward for leaving the company. I just hope that I will eventually get a reasonable return for investing my cash in the company. Of course many locals showing large losses in their holdings, bought at flotation, will certainly resent this seemingly astronomical payout.
I have some faith KCOM suceeding in the future but the present management has a lomg way to go to bring back the goodwill of many investors.

Kcom announced 3rd qtr results on the 28 Jan last year and finals 22 May. If similar dates are to be used this year 3rd qtr results are slightly overdue so could be expected any time now.
Look forward to beneficially interesting news re the progress of the company. We are due to some!!!!!!

Two new acheivements released on the Kcom website this week:
Kingston beats B.T. to connect up East Yorks villages to Broadband,
and Cityb@se signs up for Kingston and intY's All-in-one internet and email solution.
Full details on Kingston's website.
This news seems to have been largely ignored by the market as KCOM did finish of the week quietly (for a change) perhaps things would get better if only the new man at the helm would give us some idea of his plans for the companies future and how they are progressing.
Perhaps this is too much to hope for!!

Anyone got an explanation for the 'silly' 66p bid 300p offer this morning?

Thanks again.
I see that KCOM share price just keeps rambling on with no signs of the 3rd qtr trading update which I thought was due a week or two ago.

They do seem to keep rmbling in a generally up direction recently! How far up will they go? Also keep seeing 'rumours' or comment about them being a good takeover target, anyone know more?

Takeover rumours always seem to abound around companies that appear to be dormant. I think they are spread around to try to gee up the management, hope it works here. In the meantine just rumours.

I used to share your potimisim but I got a heap at 120 2 years ago and they've never looked back, well never got back to there. 15 would be nice but that was .com boom and it's unlikely it'll go that far again. They got themselves heavily into debt and I think that is really holding them back, if they can start to shift it then I'll believe again, until then I'm probably going to jump as soon as I'm back in the black!

KCOM has been put out good news pretty much daily - but this one I think is worth posting - (looks like they aren't going to report the 3rd quarter results which they did at the end of January last year!)

We have invested in and out of KCOM over the past and always managed a good profit on the cyclical pattern however have recently kept clear of them. I have the unfortunate situation of living in East Yorkshire being dependent on KCOM, for phones, TV & internet. There are not a lot of options when you live within their net as they have the monopoly (BT is not even available) My so called fast broadband internet sevice is slower than many standard ones I have seen and is frequently unavailable or experiencing problems ( a real sod when you want to get on the streaming data). The digital phone system is extremely noisy and difficult to hear and as for KIT, the Interactive TV system the picture is frequently broken and accompanied by sound losses. I sometimes wish we could stil get analogue phones and wireless TV systems (not much good for the real time trading though). How anyone on earth would award KCOM a contract for broadband amazes me, then again it is the government - enough said!
Still maybe I am the unfortunate one and all other KCOM customers are getting excellent service, maybe mine is the only house with poor junction boxes that leak when it rains, and also who says customer satifaction will have any bearing on contracts or SP
Just an opinion, and maybe my experiences are not typical, but I won't be going into KCOM unless they really come down. That's not to say a profit cannot be made - here's waiting till I move house again

I am amased to hear of your problems as no other such comments have been posted in the past (to my knowledge) are you perhaps an isolated case?
I would be interested as to how KCOM have responded to your problems.
