LONDON (Thomson Financial) - Buyers came for Empyrean Energy, moving it 5 pence higher at 41-1/2 following news that the company has encountered gas shows from well number three at the Sugarloaf block A in Texas.

Still with the explorers, Urals Energy climbed 15 to 250 after the company secured a 270 mln usd six-year loan that will finance the development of the Dulisminskoye field in eastern Siberia and repay some of its existing debt.

Elsewhere, speculators were again active in Johnson Service, 3-1/4 higher at 93, as talk persisted that the workwear and linen rental company -- which recently warned it is likely to breach its banking covenants -- has attracted predatory interest from Industri Kapital, a Nordic private equity group.

Well back from a weeks holiday,to find we have flows from the previous thought of
duster S/L1. For me this is just what what i wanted to hear, although small the
last 5 hours of 39 barrels of condensate gives a positive slant to the whole
project. The 2 upper zones must now be given greater chance of success, and i
believe that theirs more to come from the lower level?
Other pieces of info which excites,
In addition the Kennady well appears to have gas zones which correlate wih the
gas discovery well on "Block A" nearby, and we look forward to analysis of the Electric logs and testing.

The vertical well encountered gas shows that correlate with the gas shows seen in the S/Loaf-1 well "Block B".

From the latest RNS(2 in 2 days), all 5 wells have gas shows whist drilling.

All seems positive to me, so feeling quietly confident. aimo

EO. has great newsflow.

EME has crap newsflow.

Too late now, but is it .............................. ?

;-))

niceonecyril - 16 Nov 2007 23:08 - 1222 of 2087

Al must agree on EO., checked it out sometime ago, although looking more at
STAR at the time. Lost it somewhere along the line.
Only time will tell on EME as far S/L & S/K is concerned, but they have other prospects including Eagle which i believe will come good?

From a well respected frac engineer of 35 years experiance.

The reduction of flow will be due to the expelled Nitrogen running down, but the fact that gas continues to flow that they proved that the frac job managed to
connect various natural fractures in this formation and thus it could well produce very very much more after horizontal drilling.
Sums up
IMHO This is appears to be extroardinary good news in such a well and vindicates their decision to frac.

i post below a 3 month chart for you all ..... it's very easy to read, and were i a holder, i would be very pleased to see that, after a period of stagnation, sp has just about broken upwards ..... the question now is whether or not that can be sustainmed and built upon

cynic thanks, i feel in the next couple of weeks news will do just that. Its a little
unfortuate that this latest good news coincides with poor market trading, as i believe 60p+would have been achieved?

Big Al - 20 Nov 2007 08:08 - 1226 of 2087

What's up today?

cynic - 20 Nov 2007 08:16 - 1227 of 2087

just a lot of unscrambling all round i would guess

Big Al - 20 Nov 2007 08:23 - 1228 of 2087

Well I've punted long for some possible short term gain.

cynic - 20 Nov 2007 08:27 - 1229 of 2087

chart gets a bit tight around 40

Big Al - 20 Nov 2007 08:30 - 1230 of 2087

WINS messing about and not sure why.

Certainly the big reversal today makes a bit of a mess of that higher low. Still, we'll see what happens.
