not quite right ..... downside is 50/60p if VOG news with next drilling update is poor ...... technical immediate (chart) upside is also about 50p ...... see also this morning's comment on DOO

WOODIE - 10 Sep 2006 12:19 - 1220 of 2511

cynic i did say "providing there is no bad news coming out downside is limited" what you state comes under bad news so my statement is correct.

cynic - 11 Sep 2006 10:59 - 1221 of 2511

well having been positively indecisive over w/e, i took the plunge this morning and doubled up my pathetic little holding

soul traders - 11 Sep 2006 11:22 - 1222 of 2511

Morning Cynic.

My quote about greed, etc., was not intended to put you off; just poking fun.

I have a decent enough holding in this already, so will not be adding any more. I'm essentially happy with VOG's prospects, although I think I'd be less content if the next round of drilling goes badly.

bonfield - 11 Sep 2006 15:58 - 1223 of 2511

well I'm back on board now, as 1 was convincingly breached last week. I figure the brief dip below was the last chance to buy at sub 1 we're going to get. Have to see what the market does though as oil looks to be in a downtrend. Will the tax situation in Ukraine have any effect on VOG btw? I can't remember where they are based.....

hlyeo98 - 12 Sep 2006 17:38 - 1224 of 2511

What is happening with VOG? Down to 93p now

jameel06 - 12 Sep 2006 18:26 - 1225 of 2511

Can any1 tell me the value of VOG? Have the fundamentals really changed this greatly since early 2006!

janetbennison - 12 Sep 2006 18:27 - 1226 of 2511

strange why the vog have dropped back down to .935 again. Looks like I might be buying back the 20,000 that I sold the other day. especially if i can buy the at around the 93p mark. does anyone know why they went up to around 1.10 and then dropped back down again to this level.

jameel06 - 12 Sep 2006 18:35 - 1227 of 2511

Can any1 tell me the value of VOG? Have the fundamentals really changed this greatly since early 2006!

Can some1 answer?

HARRYCAT - 12 Sep 2006 18:44 - 1228 of 2511

The following appeared as part of VOG's company profile on the 23/08/06:
"Victoria beefed up its holdings in Kazakhstan in 2005 with the US$8.5 million cash and paper acquisition of the shut-in Kemerkol oilfield in the northwest of the country. Between applying for Kemerkol and getting sign-off on the deal, the licence area has been extended by some 53 sq km from the original 12 sq km - with no additional work commitment. This expansion has increased the estimated C1 to C3 reserve base from 16.4 million barrels to more than 60 million barrels. Importantly, the deal also holds out the promise of near-term production. Victoria expects to be pumping 1,800 barrels per day from Kemerkol before the end of 2006."
I have found nothing since to confirm the actual pump date. Maybe uncertainty having an influence?

jameel06 - 12 Sep 2006 18:48 - 1229 of 2511

Harrycat, so this means the VOG could be producing very soon. Is it not producing already?

HARRYCAT - 12 Sep 2006 19:03 - 1230 of 2511

Apologies, yes. C1, C2 & C3 already producing.
So please disregard my post 1228.
Still researching.

Signing of Framework Agreement for Gas Off-Take for a new Power Station in
Moscow, Russia

Victoria signs framework agreement for provision of gas to new 210 MW power
station to be built in Moscow

Approximately 15 billion cubic feet to be provided per annum at market price
for a minimum of two years when West Medvezhye is in commercial production

Power station to negotiate transmission of gas through pipeline network with
Gazprom

Victoria Oil & Gas Plc ('Victoria' or the 'Company'), the AIM-quoted oil and gas
company, today announces that it has signed a framework agreement (the
'Agreement') with OOO EnergoPromInvest ('EPI') for the potential provision of gas
from its West Medvezhye licence in Russia to a new power station to be
constructed in Moscow (the 'Power Station').

EPI holds the right for construction and operation of a new gas-turbine heat and
power station in the Scherbinka suburb in the south-west region of Moscow. The
Power Station will have the capacity to generate up to 210 MW of electricity and
300 Gkal/h of heat and will require an estimated 15 billion cubic feet of gas
per annum.

The power station is expected to start limited operation in 2007 with full
electric and heat capacity anticipated by the third quarter of 2009. Under the
terms of the Agreement, Victoria will enter into a gas off-take contract with
EPI to supply 100 per cent of the Power Station's gas requirement for a minimum
of two years when West Medvezhye is in commercial production. The gas will be
acquired at the prevailing market price.

As an industrial consumer, EPI will have the right to buy gas from the field and
Gazprom shall be required to transport it to the power station, subject to the
gas meeting designated technical standards and available pipeline capacity.

Commenting today William Kelleher Managing Director said, 'In signing this
agreement we have secured a future market for our prospective gas production and
access to Gazprom's pipeline system. The construction of the Scherbinka power
station will dovetail with the development of our West Medvezhye asset and we
are proud to be involved with such an important project for the city of Moscow'.

silvermede - 13 Sep 2006 08:57 - 1233 of 2511

VOG must be very confident regarding gas production. This is good news! :-)

silvermede - 13 Sep 2006 08:58 - 1234 of 2511

And up the SP goes!

bonfield - 13 Sep 2006 08:59 - 1235 of 2511

Yes, thank god for that. All they need to do now is find some gas!

maddoctor - 13 Sep 2006 09:18 - 1236 of 2511

first time i ever heard of a company supplying theoretical gas!

Big Al - 13 Sep 2006 09:21 - 1237 of 2511

maddoctor - 13 Sep 2006 09:23 - 1238 of 2511
