Views on AMINEX's potential??? (AEX)

slmchow - 17 Feb 2004 12:50

From the latest company's drilling update....17 Feb

http://moneyam.uk-wire.com/cgi-bin/articles/200402170700084897V.html

Can anyone with mining knowledge explain these terms....

What does sidetracking mean? Approx how ong will that take?
Approx. how long will it take to correct a deviated section?
Is 'crude oil in shale samples' a good indication that there is oil?
Is 'Gas-bearing porous sands being logged' a good indication that there is gas?
Basically what does logging involve ?

Any views re AEX potential??

Regards
Stephen

U.S. upbeat on 6-party N Korea talks

Tuesday, August 9, 2005 at 09:03 JST
WASHINGTON The U.S. government was upbeat Monday about the state of six-party talks on North Korea's nuclear programs but said Pyongyang's insistence on possessing civilian light-water nuclear reactors was the stumbling block that led to a three-week break Sunday in the talks in Beijing.

"We believe there has been important progress, and we're still optimistic that some agreement can be reached," White House deputy press secretary Trent Duffy told reporters. (Kyodo News)

FM to Visit China, U.S. Over Six-Party Talks

Foreign Minister Ban Ki-moon will visit China and the United States to discuss progress in six-party talks on North Koreas nuclear program, which should start again after a recess in the week of August 29.
Ban told reporters Tuesday he was clearing his schedule to travel this weekend to China to meet Chinese Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing and meet next week with U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice. He said there were also plans to dispatch "ministerial-level" representatives to Japan and Russia.

Ban said the government plans to use Liberation Day joint celebrations with North Korea on Aug. 15 in Seoul to talk with the North. It appears South Korean Unification Minister Chung Dong-young will head talks with North Korea's Kim Ki-nam, a secretary with the Workers Party of Korea who will reportedly lead his countrys delegation.

Turning to the question of North Korea's right to peaceful use of nuclear power, the main stumbling block in the talks so far, the minister said, Non-Proliferation Treaty member states have the right to use nuclear energy for peaceful purposes if they undergo IAEA inspections. But he added North Korea needs to build up trust with the international community."

DPRK urges US to change Korean nuclear policy
08/10/2005 -- 11:54(GMT+7)

Seoul (VNA) - The United States should change its policy of forbidding the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK)'s peaceful nuclear development, said Kim Kye-gwan, head of the the DPRK's delegation to the six-party talks.

"If the US really wants to make substantial progress in the Korean nuclear issue, it had better made up its mind to change its policy," Kim told reporters at Pyongyang Sunan Airport, and added that it is the key for possible achievements in future talks.

He also said that "the DPRK will look at the US's activities" to decide whether it could continue the six-party talks.

Although there were many difficulties, talks of the first phase established a "groundwork" for future discussions, Kim noted, and reiterated that the DPRK's stand on settling the nuclear issue on the Korean Peninsula through six-party talks remains
unchanged.

Meanwhile, US Deputy State Department spokesman Adam Ereli said "good progress was made" during the Beijing talks, even if the DPRK's desire to keep light water reactors was a "non-starter."

Its nice to have a healthy profit after one day! Shares magazine may mention Aminex this week help get this on more peoples radars. However the shrewd investors are already in so they can benefit from multi-bagger potential like this

doughboy66 - 10 Aug 2005 09:23 - 127 of 645

This was a great call Paul ,even though i was already a holder no way in the world did i think there was going to be much movement in the SP until next year.
Can`t wait for your next tip.

It hasn't started yet, this co is sitting on a massive oilfield that will be opened up to International oil majors, it is in Korea's interest and Aminex get a slice of it all. It's an incredible situation for a tiny co. to be in.

doughboy66 - 10 Aug 2005 10:12 - 129 of 645

Yes agreed robstuff, especially when you look at the market capital of some of the other players Aminex is as cheap as chips.

Agreed! Paul Masterson has provided us with excellent research on AMINEX. WELL DONE Paul.

Here is another Company, Cambrian Oil & Gas PLC( COIL )which has similar prospect like AMINEX. I am in after looking at their latest news. Get some if you can before it goes up.

Cambrian Oil & Gas Plc ('COIL' or the 'Company')

Geochemistry Confirms Presence of Hydrocarbons

Cambrian Oil & Gas Plc (AIM : COIL), the oil and gas exploration, development
and production company with assets in the Kyrgyz Republic announces the
completion of a wide ranging geochemistry survey in the South Karagundai and
Shink Sai prospects in its Tash Kumyr licence.

Key Points

Cambrian Oil & Gas Plc's subsidiary, JSC KNG Hydrocarbons, has now
completed a wide ranging geochemistry survey over the South Karagundai and
Shink Sai prospects in the Tash Kumyr exploration licence.

W.L. Gore & Associates has reported on the results of the survey, which
used the company's GORE(TM) Survey for Exploration, an advanced
geochemistry technology.

Over 300 modules were deployed in a grid over the two prospect areas, which
had shown clear hydrocarbon indications from an earlier screening study.

The GORE(TM) Survey suggests that several geochemical features conform to
major aspects of previous structural interpretations at the primary
Palaeogene target depths.

A number of additional positive geochemical anomalies have been
identified outside of previously identified structural features.

The results also indicate there may be additional hydrocarbons
in deeper horizons as occur in adjoining areas.

An extensive seismic survey is about to commence with the aim of
defining drillable targets.

Confirmation of the presence of Hydrocarbons within the licence area and
additional positive geochemical anomalies being discovered will assist the
Company in identifying further drill targets later in 2005.

Neale Taylor, CEO of Cambrian Oil & Gas said that 'The results are encouraging
and have been used to modify the layout of the Company's imminent seismic
survey. The results of both surveys would then be combined to gain a fuller
understanding of the geological system in the survey area. With a combined
interpretation in hand later in the year, the Company expects to identify
several drilling locations.'

Gore's report states: 'The results of the GORE(TM) Survey over JSC KNG
Hydrocarbon's licence area in the Fergana Basin in Kyrgyzstan are positive and
repeatable. Based on geochemical modelling results, the survey area shows great
promise for the presence of hydrocarbon reservoirs of both oil and natural gas.
These oil and gas accumulations are likely similar to the hydrocarbons found in
producing wells Mailisu #411 (oil) and Izbashkent #123 (gas), respectively,
which were used for comparison purposes.

Statistical modelling was extremely stable and consistent. This result may be
due to the combination of above-average mass values collected on the modules and
the unique chemical fingerprint of the subsurface hydrocarbons.

Several geochemical features conform to the Palaeogene structural
interpretations offered during the course of interpretation. The Gore survey
results suggest that the structural surface may be a hybrid of the two
structural interpretations provided by the client. Alternatively, the results
may suggest that there are hydrocarbons associated with horizons other than the
Palaeogene mapped horizons considered in this report. These possibilities could
account for differences between the geochemical interpretation and the
structural interpretations provided.'

Notes to Editors:

About Cambrian Oil & Gas:

Cambrian Oil & Gas (AIM : COIL), previously Silvermines Media Plc (AIM : SLV) a
company first admitted to trading on AIM on 15 July 2004, was readmitted to AIM
on 1 March 2005 following an acquisition of the entire issued share capital of
Zhibek Resources Plc. Zhibek was formed in February 2004 for the purpose of
conducting oil exploration, development and production activities in Central
Asia and FSU.

COIL currently has three operational projects in the Kyrgyz Republic; the
Beshkent-Togap water injection project; the Tash Kumyr exploration project, an
exploration licence area with 5 prospects and a recently acquired intermountain
basin exploration licence area, which adjoins Lake Toktogul.

GORE(TM) Survey Applications

The GORE(TM) Survey method is a surface geochemical sampling system employing the
GORE-SORBER(R) module (patented passive soil vapor sampling device),
state-of-the-art chemical analysis and sophisticated statistical geochemical
pattern recognition. This surface geochemical sampling technique has evolved
from over fifteen years of experience in soil gas geochemical exploration and
analytical chemistry, and is capable of differentiating reservoir hydrocarbons
from 'background' hydrocarbons (emanating from vegetation, shallow pollution,
source rock, etc.). Typical applications of this technique include: 1) Frontier
- to determine hydrocarbon potential over large previously unexplored areas; 2)
Exploration - focus geophysical efforts, prioritize leads or investigate
stratigraphic traps; 3) Development - define the areal extent of producing
fields and locate potential areas for secondary recovery. Prudent use and
integration of the geochemical results can have significant benefits to the
success of an exploration program, resulting in fewer dry holes.

Thanks All :)

I just enjoy researching, info-freako and all that !

Another year maybe two, we should be quids in :)

Short term we should be a lot higher, just compare the SP to the AIM index, or the Oil and Gas index, we used to track them both, but fell away, and to get back on track would mean the SP doubling in price from here :)

Edison Research and Lemminginvestor are still waiting to speak to someone at Aminex, I guess it's because Brian Hall is still in N.Korea, and won't be back before the end of this week, and that could be the case for Shares Mag, Oilbarrel.com, etc, they may all be waiting for his return, before putting out any research notes, so in the hope that he returns this weekend, then next week could well(pun !) see a string of different research and analyst buy notes appearing, therfore a definate hold for traders too.

Dryden research just released a note on Brent Crude, suggesting the Oil price could reach $84 a barrel this year, if it does not fall back from the current high ....

Crude Oil (Brent): $61.98 Potential high for Crude Oil (Brent). The Crude Oil (Brent) price has now arrived at levels, which should determine the immediate outlook. It has risen to the upper trend line of a rising wedge (bearish) and appears to have completed five wave patterns from the lows of 13th December 2004, 23 May 2005 and 21st July 2005. If the high is in place we can expect the Oil price to decline to test the 23rd May 2005 low if not the December 2004 low before rallying to make new highs. However the seasonal bias is for the oil price to continue higher into October before correcting into December (highlighted on the chart). If it holds true this year then price targets at $84 come into play.

Cheers,
PM

Oil going up, new resources required, N.Korea has never produced it's own oil, Tanzania could have a decent amount of offshore oil too.

Aminex are in a great position to capitalise !

Oil surges above $65 for first time

SINGAPORE (Reuters) - Oil prices raced above $65 for the first time on record on Thursday, as tightening U.S. gasoline supplies added to anxiety over refinery snags and stability of crude supplies in the Middle East and North Sea.

kaysmart - 11 Aug 2005 13:37 - 135 of 645

paul,

Any reason why the sp going down? Should I get out while I am making a nice profit or is this a buying opportunity shall i buy some more?
kays

paulmasterson1 - 11 Aug 2005 13:46 - 136 of 645

Kaysmart Hi,

Profit taking, as would be expected after a 50% rise, buying opportunity for those who are staying Aminex long time !

Could go lower, possibly as far as 10.25p, as that would be about 50% of the 4p the S.P has risen in the last week or so.

Edison brokers note will be out, as I have said before, and that will create more buying, so traders buying at 10.25p or wherever the price stops, will get a second bite of the cherry. Also other analysts/tipsters/press are all waiting for the return of Brian Hall, so they can meet and discuss the PSA announced last week. Plenty to come, after the dip.

Cheers,
PM

kaysmart - 11 Aug 2005 14:07 - 137 of 645

Thanks Paul! I think I will buy some more. I have full faith in your research.
Kays

ADAM - 11 Aug 2005 14:15 - 138 of 645

This, like all shares, does not go up in straight lines. See the previous few rises, those who sold out with the first dips missed out on much higher gains soon after.

As Paul has stated there are those who go in with the right issue under 9p anything above 12p looked attractive.

I am expecting a couple more days of red or no movement then another attempt on the 13p mark.

paulmasterson1 - 11 Aug 2005 15:51 - 139 of 645

Kaysmart Hi,

Hope you got some at 11.15p before the bounce :)

Adam is correct, AEX always goes up in stages, and with the brokers note next week (hopefully !) plus other coverage(lemminginvestor), that will be stage 2 ....

Cheers,
PM

kaysmart - 11 Aug 2005 16:14 - 140 of 645

Thanks for your advise Paul! I am glad I did not panic. Yes I bought a chank again. No more panic regardless of what happens. I am in for longterm.
kays

robstuff - 11 Aug 2005 16:22 - 141 of 645

Nothing goes up in a straight line and this one's only just begun it's rising trend, I think most of us here are pretty confident that it hasn't started yet and see AEX being one for the future (medium - long term) with quite a few opps to trade along the way, although I wouldn't like to be out of this one, any dips will be topping up times for me. I currently don't have a fortune in this one but hope to increase my hdg and should be plenty of activity especially when writtn about in one of the share mags/tipsheets. This is a very small co with huge potential, and relatively small amount of buyers can shift the sp up by large percentage and in my experience, once the institutions start to investin sizeable chunks, the sp will already have trebled/quadrupled from the low. Good luck everyone and hold tight!
