Morning all. Hope those of you suffering from storm damage are okay. Saw it on the news, looked pretty bad. Weather not too bad up here, raining a bit but could be worse.

It is quite refreshing this thread, everyone seems most pleasant, even if people have negative thoughts they are digested and answered in a most polite manner, long may it continue... Is is all the fine food and wine that is being consumed...

There are a three or four articles on www.citywire.co.uk about Sterling. A fellow called Edmond Jackson saying yesterday, "its not too late to buy". You may wish to look. Type in SEY, then click news.

leave it on, we dion't mind.
it sounds like city dwellers such as myself have missed out on a serious storm lashing but the rest of the year i think you guys have it right. i think i will aim to get to the coast at some point and would love a lovely cottage somewhere on the south coast....come on SEY, you can pay for it!
anyway, back to reality. these things holding in well. very good news. as a placement this is not underwritten so must be a done deal already. i think 17p would be ideal because those who get in have already made a cup of tea out the trade and there is some wriggle room if oils come easier and we wont see a cascade in the SP. one man's friday thoughts....

Thanks for the tip about the Citywire artciles. I think all of them have been posted on here previously, but they do make good reading.
Just back from Tesco and absolutely soaked! Rains hitting here big style. You guys on the South coast are lucky, we've got the next 6 months of rain, howling gales and freezing temperatures! Oh and forgot blizzards and baltic nights. One night last year we got -14c!
Dave, don't think we will see 15, but I might be wrong. If we do hit 15 them I'm selling a kidney on Ebay to top up! Should get a few bucks for it, still got 40 odd years left in it I hope!
Prop, cheers for the Friday thought. 17 sounds ok to me, but 19 would be better, or maybe I'm dreaming! Price seems to be holding up well just now. But perhaps that was down to the UK-Analyst tip. Next week will be a big week I feel, should get a better idea as to what the price was. And we get another drilling update. Hopefully get some of the log and flow results from Tiof-3 next week maybe.
Anyway, go SEY! Time for a cuppa and a Kit-Kat.

Unfortunately that is very true Dave. Noticed another 500k X trade at 19p just gone through and there was a few largeish trades at 19 yesterday. I wonder if there is any relevance in that.

looks like some lucky punters have found some stock borrow and are taking an arb on the placed stock. if the placement is at 17 and you have confirmation that you aer filled then it is the simplest arb possible.
i would think the borrow is relatively tight though so i can't see too much of this coming out...

gavdfc..-I'd pick another body part for auction..you're gonna need that kidney when this takes off. I foresee much drinking and merriment in the not to distant future! The rain has stopped (for now) and the blender is out....what do you lot want in your smoothie...?

Thanks for that Prop. So I take it that if you can get stock at 17 then sell it on pretty quickly then thats what these 19p trades might be. Pretty good work if you can get it, 10k profit for not doing much, nice!
Sandrew, Lol! You're right, will keep the kidney and sell the house. Live in a tent for a while, until 2006! Strawberry smoothie sounds good to me.
