VOG is presently drilling Well 104 in its West Medvezhye field, and expected to reach depth in 4 weeks from spud date of 30th June, that makes 27th July(this week).
Results of testing will be sometime mid/late August, with a positive outcome
it could be HUGH.
With estimates of 134BILLION cubic metres of GAS and 201 Million barrels of Gas
Condensate,it will be a Company Maker. The field is in the area of the largest gas field in the WORLD.
Other assets include Kemerkol in Kazakhstan, with C1 reserves of 8.7MBO
and C2 reserves of7.8MBO. Another acquistion is Tamdykol with potental
reserves of 34MBO, it also has interest in 2 blocks in the North Sea.
You can check it out on www.uk-wire.com, and its own site of www.victoriaoilandgas.com.
It has excellent management team led by Kevin Foo, who hopes to turn it into

first time i ever heard of a company supplying theoretical gas!

Big Al - 13 Sep 2006 09:21 - 1237 of 2511

Indeed mad

maddoctor - 13 Sep 2006 09:23 - 1238 of 2511

Big Al , wondered where you where - this to me is complete nonsense

when you have got a minute look at FAO , seem to have oil but the share price keeps dropping , something smells

soul traders - 13 Sep 2006 11:29 - 1239 of 2511

Morning all.

This wouldn't be the first time an agreement has been drawn up "subject to" production.

Clearly the power station has an alternative supply for its first few months (and as a contingency should VOG fail to produce any gas). However, it's good to know that they have put a sales agreement in place and hopefully lend strength to the supposition that they are actually going to find commercial hydrocarbons.

Roll on, the next drilling results!

Well 103 Update for West Medvezhye Project, Russia

Well 103 at 3,627 metres and on schedule for completion to target depth of 3,885 metres by end of September

DeGolyer & MacNaughton increase best estimate gross prospective resource volume statement by 12%

Russian independent explorer Nadymneftegaz make new gas and condensate discovery in adjacent licence at well
less than 10 kilometres from Well 103

Victoria Oil & Gas Plc ('the Company') the AIM-quoted oil and gas company focused on the Former Soviet Union, today
announces that drilling at Well 103 at its West Medvezhye gas and condensate project (the 'Project') has reached 3,627
metres and remains on track to reach target depth by the end of September 2006.

The Company is targeting up to six potentially hydrocarbon-bearing intervals between depths of 3,200 - 3,880 metres.

Last week, a well drilled by Russian independent explorer Nadymneftegaz to a depth below 3,000 metres less than 10
kilometres from Well 103 intersected potentially commercial quantities of gas and condensate.

An updated resource statement for the Project prepared by independent reserve auditors DeGolyer & MacNaughton ('D&M') as
at 30 June 2006 prior to this discovery gives an analysis of prospective intervals by well. D&M have also revised their
best estimate gross prospective resource volume statement for the Project to 1.1 billion barrels of oil equivalent (an
increase of 12%).

cynic - 15 Sep 2006 08:22 - 1244 of 2511

as you can see, it is really just good indications from the next door neighbour, but encouraging nevertheless even if sp has scarcely moved

soul traders - 15 Sep 2006 10:04 - 1245 of 2511

IMO today's news is a timely reminder of what VOG is all about. Note that the new resource update cancels out the drop experienced after the disappointment at Danniella.

However, they do still have to prove that gas is there in commercial quantities at West Med, but it's looking better than ever.

Thanks for posting, Cynic.

Pisces, FYI you should normally be able to find all new RNS's on FT.com - just use the quotes box to find the stock.

Lostandfound - 15 Sep 2006 11:39 - 1246 of 2511

'The Company is targeting up to six potentially hydrocarbon-bearing intervals between depths of 3,200 - 3,880 metres.'

'Well 103 at 3,627 metres....'

No indication of them having found anything between 3,200 and where they are now, i.e. 3,627. Worrying!

rmhyams - 15 Sep 2006 11:43 - 1247 of 2511

For Pisces

You could also try www.investegate.co.uk, where all new RNSs are placed. It is updated minute by minute.

Kind regards

soul traders - 15 Sep 2006 11:47 - 1248 of 2511

Lost, on a full reading of the RNS I saw, you may find yourself begging to differ:

Commenting today, Managing Director William Kelleher said, 'We continue to see gas shows and have had to increase the
density of the drilling fluid in order to maintain stable wellbore conditions. This should not delay us in reaching
total depth by the end of this month.

'The discovery made by Nadymneftegaz at our neighbouring field last week could be an extremely important indicator for
our West Medvezhye licence as we believe that the well may be producing from intervals including those which Well 103 is
targeting. Given the proximity of the discovery, it is a very encouraging sign. D&M's upgrading of their best estimate
resource volume by 12% is also very good news'

rmhyams - 15 Sep 2006 11:49 - 1249 of 2511

For Lostandfound,

The RNS went onto say:

"Commenting today, Managing Director William Kelleher said, 'We continue to see gas shows and have had to increase the
density of the drilling fluid in order to maintain stable wellbore conditions.

D&M's upgrading of their best estimate
resource volume by 12% is also very good news'"

So, there is indication that they have found something between 3,200 and where they are now. Let's hope that VOG make the same discovery as their neighbours.

Kind regards

cynic - 15 Sep 2006 11:50 - 1250 of 2511

and of course no gas of commercial interest is found until it is found ...... Hope VOG don't end up with a dud this time, as do we all .... That said, I am not 100% certain that VOG needed to issue this morning's RNS, and if that is the case, then it indicates that they must be pretty sure of their ground (well the hole anyway!)

soul traders - 15 Sep 2006 11:57 - 1251 of 2511

It's definitely a hole in the ground, Cynic.

D&M think it's a big one, too :o)

Lostandfound - 15 Sep 2006 11:58 - 1252 of 2511

ST.

Thank you for pointing out the bit I missed, lack of attention to detail on my part. Not exactly a resoundingly positive shout of delight though, as it was inserted after the web page hyperlink and not in the main text. Better than nothing!

I'm still holding but still worrying too!

cynic - 15 Sep 2006 12:00 - 1253 of 2511

well for sure, if this big hole does not prove to have gas, they will not need to backfill as it will be full of lost money!

soul traders - 15 Sep 2006 12:02 - 1254 of 2511

Worrying is your right and your privilege, Lost.

I'd be disappointed if 103 failed to produce, but also pretty gutted if I sold ahead of a rise in the SP! Recent RNS's have reminded me why I consider this worth holding, so will hang in there for the time being.

Big Al - 15 Sep 2006 12:53 - 1255 of 2511

Afternoon.

Gas shows - it would be unheard of it there were none!!!!!!! I'd tend to concur with Lostandfound's "worries" for now.

Proximity in next block - I've been on dusters in well-known fields, let alone 10km away. Not necessarily significant IMO.
