With video search set to be the next big growth area BLNX have the software the likes of Microsoft, Google and NewsCorp would love to have.

In fact BLNX have done deals with most of these, the most recent being the UtargetFox deal which has been reported in the USA but not RNS'd in the UK.

Alexa rankings confirm the continued growth in usage as its viral effect spreads:-

The ITN RNS confirms blnx is the best in the market and is growing fast:-

Leading News Organization ITN Extends Advertising Deal with blinkx Based on Proven Campaign Success

blinkx Selected to Power Advertising across ITN Website and Syndication Partner Sites

SAN FRANCISCO, CALIF. - July 2, 2008 - blinkx, the world's largest and most advanced video search engine, today announced that it has won an extension contract that will augment the scope of its advertising partnership with ITN, one of the world's leading news and multimedia content companies. Under the terms of the new agreement, ITN will use AdHoc, blinkx's patented contextual advertising platform for online TV and video, to serve advertisements on the ITN website and its syndication partner sites, including Bebo.

Through AdHoc, ITN has already been effectively monetizing its premium news content on the blinkx.com network for over six months. During this time, ITN achieved a significantly better return, greater search volume, and higher monetization through blinkx than through other syndication partners.

AdHoc uses blinkx's patented speech-to-text transcription and visual analysis technology to understand video content more thoroughly and effectively than any other service today, and can therefore dynamically place the most pertinent advertising against it. The AdHoc platform offers media companies and advertisers a unique value proposition -- video advertising which combines the emotive power of TV promotion, with the relevance and utility of contextual search advertising.

The confluence of ITN's premium TV content, blinkx's extensive syndication network, and AdHoc's uniquely powerful targeting capabilities was a formula for success. By extending its partnership with blinkx, ITN aims to achieve similar returns by leveraging the AdHoc platform to deliver contextually relevant video advertising on its own website and across its distribution partner sites.

'We're thrilled to be broadening our relationship with ITN,' said Suranga Chandratillake, founder and CEO of blinkx. 'News content is one of the most popular categories of online video and there's clearly a tremendous opportunity for monetization. The success of our partnership with ITN is evidence that the blinkx AdHoc platform is a uniquely powerful solution for online video advertising today.'

'We've been delighted with the results of our partnership with blinkx and are looking forward to implementing the AdHoc technology on our site,' said Nicholas Wheeler, managing director, ITN On. 'blinkx AdHoc has proven that it can achieve significant monetization of our content, effective marketing for advertisers and, most importantly, a useful, non-disruptive experience for our audience.'

As a pioneer in video search technology, blinkx has built a reputation as the most effective way to search new forms of online content such as video. With more than 350 partners and 26 million hours of indexed video and audio content, including favorite TV moments, news clips, short documentaries, music videos, video blogs and more, blinkx uses advanced speech recognition technology to deliver results that are more accurate and reliable than standard metadata-based keyword searches.

Here is yet further proof of Blinkx potential
blinkx.com is fastest growing video site in U.S. and U.K.

World's Largest Index of TV, Video and Movies Online Continues to Gain Users - Traffic Growing Faster than Any Top 20 Video Site

SAN FRANCISCO, CALIF. - September 9, 2008 - blinkx, the world's largest and most advanced video search engine, today announced that it is the fastest growing video site in the U.S., and also one of the fastest growing online sites in the U.K., as users continue to turn to blinkx to find video content ranging from premium high definition movies and sports, to breaking news and top quality niche content.

According to findings just issued by Compete.com, blinkx is the fastest growing video site among the top 20 video competitors in the U.S. Its traffic grew by 1,036% between July 2007 and July 2008, boosting blinkx to 16th place among the top 20 video sites.

In another recent report, Neilsen Online listed blinkx.com as the ninth fastest growing site in the U.K. as its traffic soared 681% between June 2007 and July 2008. The report noted: 'Video is one of the fastest-growing sectors and blinkx is allowing viewers to search across millions of hours of professional and consumer-generated video. The site also taps further into the social media phenomenon by enabling viewers to build customized video walls for their blogs or MySpace pages.'

'As more and more television, movies and other video content is available online - tens of millions of hours and counting - we have noticed a sharp increase in visitors who are looking for their favorite show or a recent news clip - whether it's an well-loved sitcom, an Olympic moment or the latest U.S. convention speech,' said Suranga Chandratillake, founder and CEO of blinkx. 'It's clear that there will continue to be great demand for our technology among users, advertisers and content owners who want to take full advantage of the exploding video Web.'

More good news for Blinkx
hi citytrade=
it is not just in places that are in far away countries that buying
is done by TV adverts, and catalogues,
in the islands of Scotland the local island village shop
will have general goods, videos, newspapers 2 days old.
most things are ordered and delivered by CAL-MAC shipping.
the way they get goods is through computers, and catalogues.

Even in England, Ireland, Wales, remote farms order by computer, ebay,
amazon, its not just Australia,or India,- its other far off countries that see
adverts on computers, they want instant news, film, video, and lots more.

Blinkx AdHoc revenue is still growing,
and i see video advertising as the future.,
example= woman fashion catalogue advertising,==
change it to moving video advertising,on a computer.
with just a click on the advert showing a girl wearing a dress, this will sell quicker than any advert in a newspaper,
=blinkx advert, credit card, click OK, and item bought.

To be able to deliver through satelite to remote areas,
the same dress can be seen anywhere in the world,
its easy for a woman to go into the high street and pick
and chose the style she wants, but a lot of women in
remote areas have no access to shops,
the next best thing is to see someone wearing it and moving
in an advert.
Football,= the greatest gift to be given in africa, is a genuine tracksuit
of Chelsea, or Manchester, football club, not the rip off Chinese
or Indian copy.
Advertise on British video of a football game, any of the clubs products,
there is a middle class buyers
with money waiting to buy, and they have credit cards.

Kangaroo TV group etc. is only the start of the change away from
advertising in paper.
citytrade ==satellite is superb, in countries with little electricity,
solar power will be used more, with a simple dye in the panel they
are already 10 times more powerful.
outside african towns=they use generators and solar panels,
satellite is the way they get any news, sport, entertainment.
with the $100 laptops in third world countries,[they are made in China]
the lid of the laptop will become a solar panel.

i agree blinkx AdHoc is in a growth area,
let Google have the satalite, as you say =we are watching a growth field
and i cannot see blinkx failing,
especially with Autonomy a FTSE100 company as its partner.

Myvideorights.com Partners With Blinkx
4RFV, UK - 5 hours ago
Myvideorights.com, a leading digital video distributor run by Ashley Mackenzie, has announced a partnership with video search engine blinkx. ...

HARRYCAT - 15 Sep 2008 21:43 - 142 of 6187

With the markets looking to have another 'down' day tomorrow, I would expect this to slide further. Somewhere around the 22p mark would be the 200 DMA support, but it has bombed through this once before. It's general market conditions dictating this at the moment, regardless of isolated bits of good news.
Will be interesting to see if hlyeo's prediction of 15p comes true (Post #74).

STERLING, Va., Sept. 15 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- NeuStar, Inc. (NYSE: NSR) today announced that blinkx, the world's largest and most advanced video search engine, has chosen NeuStar's UltraDNS Managed DNS Services to augment the performance, reliability, and scalability of the blinkx network infrastructure and to take advantage of NeuStar's innovative suite of traffic management services.
(Logo: http://www.newscom.com/cgi-bin/prnh/20080310/NEUSTARLOGO )
Unlike other multimedia search engines that attempt to repurpose technology built for the Text Web, blinkx uses a combination of patented conceptual search, speech recognition, and video analysis software to efficiently find and qualify online video. Today, blinkx is the world's largest single index of rich media content on the Internet, with an index of over 26 million hours of searchable audio, video, viral and TV content, and more than 350 media partnerships including national broadcasters, commercial media giants, and private video libraries.
"Cultivating a user experience that's of the highest quality is a top priority at blinkx, and DNS plays a large role in ensuring quick and reliable responses," said Suranga Chandratillake, CEO and founder of blinkx. "We're pleased to work with NeuStar, whose UltraDNS Managed DNS and Traffic Management services enable us to access a powerful suite of global traffic management tools without expending additional capital."
By migrating to the UltraDNS Managed DNS Service, blinkx is able to benefit from the UltraDNS Traffic Management Services: SiteBacker, an advanced monitoring and failover service for critical enterprise systems and applications; Directional DNS, a geographic traffic shaping service that provides DNS responses based on geographic proximity; and Traffic Controller, a global server load balancing service that provides weighted load balancing of customer traffic across the Internet. These value-added services require no hardware deployment and, as with all UltraDNS Services, have 24/7 proactive monitoring and support.
"NeuStar is very pleased to have its UltraDNS Services contribute to the success of a true industry pioneer," said Alex Berry, general manager and senior vice president of NeuStar's Internet and Infrastructure Services group. "blinkx is the latest technologic innovator to value the importance DNS plays in their solution and the compelling economics of the managed services approach."
