GNK worth a dabble say a spread bet ?..........

Tuesday 3 December
Pub chain Greene King (GNK) will release its first-half results on Tuesday.

Recent news: Panmure Gordon analyst Simon French described Greene King's first-quarter results as "solid". The pub chain reported 4.6% like-for-like sales growth in managed pubs, 5.7% in food, 3.7% in drink and 6% in accommodation.

Analysts' expectations: "We expect a robust performance and forecast £87.3 million of pre-tax profit," comments French, retaining his ‘hold' rating on Greene King.

Meanwhile, Geof Collyer from Deutsche Bank rates the pub chain a ‘buy'.

"The group remains our favoured UK pub retail play, given its track record and benign geographical exposure," he says.

Valuation: Greene King trades on a 2014 EV/EBITDAR multiple of 10.1 times.

Skinny

Re: Winsplit Revolution "Interesting link Exec - do you use it?"

Yes. And it works on multiple monitors too.

eg, When a window is open on, say Monitor B, then pressing 'Ctrl', 'Alt' and '1' (on the Numbers Pad) will 'Snap' that window in a reduced size down to the Bottom LHS quarter of the screen. The controlling rules for the numbers on the Numbers Pad for snapping windows can be personally edited up too with the Layout Settings editor. Numbers Pad numbers (with 'Ctrl' and 'Alt') seem to work independently for each Monitor.

As to whether a browser window snaps to where you want it to go or not (eg. on either Monitor A, B or C or whatever), well, it just depends on whether the browser window is 'active' or not. If a window is active then you can snap it, if it isn't, then you can't.

Careful with 'Log In' though.

At the end of the period, just 'Exit' the program. Everything is then back to normal.

By the way, I don't know whether you know this or not, but even without this program, if you press the 'Windows' button on the keyboard (it has four squares on it) and is sited in between 'Ctrl' and 'Alt'n on my keyboard, whilst at the same time pressing a Left or Right arrow on the keyboard, then an active browser window will snap to Half Left or Half Right of the monitor screen as the case may be.

Thanks for the info - I was aware of your last paragraph - windows key + up arrow, returns it to normal.

From a technical point of view for
the chartists among us an interesting

In fact you could say its a breakout from a flag pattern.
