Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).
Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.
cheers GF.

Remember all those Labour Government schemes that wasted tax payers money on sending criminals on Foreign holidays, the safari boy being just one example.
This government quite rightly said they would stop such antics, as they would not reward wrong doers.
Announced today.
More than 100,000 problem families face daily visits from government officials under plans being drawn up after the summer riots.
These families will be given (meaning paid for my us) help with basic tasks such as, getting their children out of bed and ready for school, along with cooking or cleaning.
So in the worse cases, we will have Mr and Mrs criminal who obviously don't won't work, will be supplied with a personal maid to get their dozen or so children out of bed, fed, watered and no doubt taken to school, whilst they are helped with the cooking and cleaning.
What a great idea! This will of course go a long way in making these people responsible and caring parents.
I find it unbelievable, that anyone with half a brain cell, feels that such schemes will have any positive effect whatsoever.
This of course at a time when those who genuinely need help with daily chores, such as the disabled or/and elderly are having their daily help and assistance cut, due to lack of money.
I also read today that if the number of MPs who want a debate on having referendum to leave the EU reaches a certain number, it is thought that David Cameron will 'ORDER' any Conservative MP to refrain from voting, even though any survey will show that well over 75% of the voting population want such a referendum.
Also, it was stated today that several MP's are lobbying others to vote against any moves to force them to pay more into their pensions and for any increase in the age of their retirement.
These same MPs no doubt were among those who voted for the motion that everyone else should pay more into their pensions, whilst the retirement age is extended.
If things carry on as they are, I can't see it being too long before we have riots far worse than those already seen, and as a law abiding person, I can for-see the time when it will be difficult to not break the law (I don't mean looting or the like) in acts such as forcefully taking over government buildings.
Once democracy dies, the legitimacy of law also dies, and there becomes a point where the people have had enough.

Mnamreh,
You might disagree with me, but no need to take that tone.

Sesame Street YouTube channel hit by porn hack
Sesame Street's YouTube channel has been taken offline after hackers uploaded several pornographic videos.
Can train technology re-invent the wheel?
Rail transport has not fundamentally changed in the 200 years since the invention of metal rails but a new wave of transport ideas - from ones already in development to "concept" contraptions - could change the way we commute forever.

I'm sure you've heard the expression, "As queer as a candyfloss doorknocker!"
Well, here's another, that's fairly similar:
"As cheap as a chocolate orange!"
Quote: One shopper claimed on Facebook that she had managed to "raid" two stores to purchase an astonishing 246 oranges. Usually that would have cost her 676.50, but on Tuesday it would have cost her a mere 71.34.

Nice to see that the coalition is devaluing its debt by 5% a year.
Pity about all those in cash.
Perhaps they can have a rest in one of the prison described.
But this is what Cameron promised before the election.
Happy days, perhaps I will stay in the N. Broads, at least the sun is shining for the moment.

Skinny, re post 12683, I'm sure you realised this, but the date of that flying penguin report is significant. Just not sure everyone else would catch on!

Exec,
I wonder how many children of the "lords and ladies" know their "real" parents.
And how many of them are living off the lootings of the predecessors a century, or so ago and feel very protective of the "rightful possessions".
It is not the looting, but whether you are held responsible for doing so.
Back to the beaches.
Edited for the stalking thicky.

" I not the looting, but whether you are held responsible for doing so."
Translation anybody.
I wonder how many children of the Union Baron's know their "real" parents.
And how many of them are living in mansion's paid for by the union member's , I see they are trying to get Arthur Scargill evicted .
