Haystack - 19 Nov 2008 14:35 - 127 of 974

US headlines today. It is happening here already. MKS will be squeezed. A report out yesterday said that mid market womens clothes would suffer the most and cited Green's companies and MKS as the main casualties.

CNNFN
Consumer prices in record decline
Inflation falls by a record 1% in October, worrying economists that falling prices will become a disturbing trend.

mitzy - 19 Nov 2008 14:48 - 128 of 974

MitzyI have been told C&A do a nice range of Trench Coatsif you ever want to start digging trenches? Pays good!

jeffmack - 19 Nov 2008 15:38 - 133 of 974

C&A are the M&S of France / Belgium. That seems to be how they are viewed

tabasco - 19 Nov 2008 15:52 - 134 of 974

Jeff.I think they are viewed from a distancedont look too bad that way.

jeffmack - 19 Nov 2008 15:58 - 135 of 974

I work in Belgium and did a year in Paris, over here C&A is always busy and they advertise a lot like M&S in UK

Gausie - 19 Nov 2008 16:09 - 136 of 974

Not just any trenchcoat?

Gausie - 19 Nov 2008 16:11 - 137 of 974

Given the FTSE, I'm not particularly surprised by the remorselessness of the attack on 200p. What does surprise me is the resilience of the defence.

Considering another add.

Gausie - 19 Nov 2008 16:19 - 138 of 974

Added 200.25

Haystack - 19 Nov 2008 16:21 - 139 of 974

You may be able to add a few more at 190p!

Haystack - 19 Nov 2008 16:22 - 140 of 974

But not today.

Gausie - 19 Nov 2008 16:24 - 141 of 974

ouch - will be closing or reducing in the auction (depending on uncrossing price)

Dil - 19 Nov 2008 16:28 - 142 of 974

Just had to be bloody greedy didn't you.

tabasco - 19 Nov 2008 16:31 - 143 of 974

JeffM&S pulled the plug on their shops abroadlogistic costs was partly blamed.when M&S had a shop in Nice it was heaving.. C&A down the road wasnt the French are stylishthe Belgians aintthey would buy corduroy trousers in purple if they were cheap.C&A took on the best of British and lost completely in 2001.accumulated losses of 250m in the UK over the previous five yearsSorry no contest!

Gausie - 19 Nov 2008 16:35 - 144 of 974

Reduced @ 200p for a small loss.

tabasco - 19 Nov 2008 16:49 - 145 of 974

Gausie.you trade for the buzz and not for the money imho.what would you prefer to risk ten 10,000 punts on 1/10 chances or one 10,000 punt on an even money chanceYour strategy requires the backing of a high percentage of winners at very small marginsa Bookmakers dream punter.

Dil - 19 Nov 2008 16:52 - 146 of 974

That 1 in 10 chance was at worst 1/2 and with a risk reward factor of a minimum of 3:1 tabby depending on where you place your stops and your profit target.
