Rockhopper was established in 2004 with a strategy to invest in and undertake an offshore oil exploration programme in the North Falkland Basin. It was floated on AIM in August 2005. Rockhopper was the first company to make a commercial oil discovery in the Falklands. Today Rockhopper is the largest acreage holder in the North Falkland Basin, with interests in the Greater Mediterranean region.

I though the rig had moved to it's next destination.....or have they left some people behind in a dinghy ?, so how are they doing coring if no rig is there ?....sorry...not an expert but you seem to have loads of info...2 teams out there ?...

What's pushing it is the fact that it is in british waters...that makes a huge difference !...

Not exactly.....but I did very well on the the first sale.....still looking at the bike options list...a bell or a mirror....hesitating.....between the two..wanted to buy back my original holding after having sold but it rocketed to 145p and then to 200p and by then could not except inside my sipp and spreads....and doing well on that...so...soon time to swithchover to FOGL ?....a long two or three months wait until RKH's next spud....I can't help feel that DES have not done very well on planning the rig slots !.

i'm now very comfortable with my holding here, as in honesty, i expect a lot of profit-taking late in the day ..... if it happens, shall i allow myself to buy back in (top up)? maybe ..... if sp surges, then that's very fine by me too, but i think that unlikely

rf...how much of the Oil do GKP own?...i.e. how much Oil/Gas + potential Oil/Gas has GKP got on it's books?

RKH owns 100% of whatever it may find :-)...for the moment...lovely!

bullseye! .... at the moment no one has any idea at all what rkh may have found, though there are realistic expectations of >170mb ..... however, they still have to get it on stream (rf - i think the cost of that is actually irrelevant), and that will take at least a further 3 years .... on the other hand, black bush in the hand (so to speak!) is far preferable to just being onto an unfulfilled promise

Currently the signs are very good for RKH/DES and fingers crossed that the 'signs' will be proved up into mmbb's on their books.

I'm delighted about RKH.....just pissed off about selling most too early...but now I'm boring everybody about that and I will be gutted if this goes to ten quid in a day...

If you bought at 250p (or less), why would you be gutted if it goes to 10??? Get over it & focus on the potential now!

Why do people not see the downside on things ?....we are here to make some dosh...and maximize it...why keep on saying ; it's going to rocket when it might not ?....I was one of the first on here so please...evaluate the pro's and con's...
