As a matter of interest, how much cash does EME have? The number of dusters with no actual cashflow must be hurting.

Al a fair question, and something which will need to be addressed sometime in the
new year. The result from S/Loaf/S/Kane will of course make a hugh difference to at
what price a placing is set?
It should be remembered that value to EME via Eagle is roughly the present M/Cap,
and is a proven well(i,ve seen pictures of the original entry, very impressive),an experienced crew needed to drill.
As far as dusters, neither S/L lower zone(presently swabbing) or the latest Bondi have been P&A'd.

Why will they need a placing if they have an income?

Income not enough to cover drilling / production costs?

Morning guys,
have migrated over from the other site and those dreary childish posters who seem intent on fogging the debate on EME and lack of newsflow.
Have been holding EME since June 06 and have added various tranches along the way, but still bitterly disappointed by the companies performance and the arrogance of the Management.

Welcome C40, yes a frustrating stock indeed but i believe the end of the tunnel is in sight regarding S/L. The rumour regarding Kunde3 seems to be correct,
fraccing and testing about to commence?

chameleon, I fully understand leaving the earthquake kids behind. I would not agree that the EME management are arrogant, I find them helpful but they cannot release information without the say-so of the JVs.

Lizard, I expect we will get news of the Block A wells this month and with that in the open they can announce the mystery US top-ten company name, then we'll be rich!

EME news is bad and infrequent becasue they\'re achieving little despite continued drilling on several fronts. Wise up, folks. Things ain\'t that rosy in EME\'s garden I\'m afraid.

well the downtrend has been there for about 6 months so that sums it up. thats not to say they cant turn it around with current operations.

Empyrean Energy PLC
(\'Empyrean\' or the \'Company\'; Ticker: (EME))
Sugarloaf Prospect, (\'Sugarloaf\'), Block B, Texas USA
-----------------------------------------------------
Empyrean, the AIM listed oil and gas explorer and producer with assets in
Germany and USA today announces the following:
Kennedy -1H Well
----------------
The operator advises that following the 4-1/2 inch liner being cemented in place
in the horizontal section of the well, the drilling rig was released on December
8, 2007. The operator intends to run a radial bond log to assess the cement job
before finalising plans for an extensive fracture stimulation program and test
operations on the well. It is likely that these operations will start early in
the new year.
Sugarloaf-1 Well
----------------
Flow testing of the deepest of three zones of interest in the Austin Chalk
continues. Swabbing and short periods of natural flow have recovered small
quantities of gas and condensate together with fracture stimulation fluids and
work fluids. The operator has advised that the test program will include further
swabbing before shutting the well in for a seven day pressure build up test. An
electronic pressure gauge assembly has been deployed by wireline. Further work
on this zone will be dependant on the analysis of the test and other data.
