Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).
Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.
cheers GF.

Italy's cost of borrowing has reached a record high, despite the deal reached to contain the eurozone debt crisis.
Italy paid 6.06% to borrow for 10 years at an auction on Friday, the most since the euro was created in 1999.
The rate jumped from 5.86% - the previous record high - at its last auction a month ago.
The auction came as stock markets failed to follow up on their global rally on Thursday, with shares in many European banks turning lower.
An interest rate of 6% and higher is generally considered to be unsustainable.

Hays,
My "feelings" are that the "markets" are going to be unstable for many months more.
Just been watching Russia To-day and the Keiser report.
For some reason, or another, only ever glanced at this TV station before.
However, found the slant and interpretation of present economic events fascinating, amusing but quite thought provoking.
Interesting commentary on Japanese economic developing problems, which may be indicate UK's future problems.
If you haven't watched it, or written it off as simply propaganda I think the station is worth another critical look.
The commentary on Cameron was amusing, even if it was at school boy level and reminded me of being in a in a communist state duting the the 60s and 70s

Goldie,
"Do a lot of fishing, but getting bored with that."
I retired years ago and had to give up fishing.
The fish were disappointed, as I swear they enjoyed teasing me.
Partly out of boredom, I started to cook weird and wonderful fish dishes instead.
Found cooking and increasing skill levels as a fascinating hobby and now some of the dishes are actually eaten.
You can still look at the charts and gamble in between chopping up things.

Important Info'
Software designed to completely mine every secret on a smartphone can track its users, record their calls, copy their emails, read their text messages and bug the rooms the phones are sitting in.
The attacker will send a personalised email from a known account.
The user opens an email and a document, a picture, letter or pdf file.
A programme can be embedded in the attached document which takes the hacked user's phone off to a secret website site which covertly downloads spying software onto the smartphone.
There is no way that a victim would know his phone had been comprehensively hacked.

It is good to see Clegg is trying to stimulate the UK economy.
I would have thought the business communities have no faith in this coalition government.
What and incompetent bunch they are.

Anyone considering an installation would need
1. a quote
2. accepted
3. installed (to get to this stage is usually going to take about 4-6 weeks)
4. certified by their power supplier (if you took it by hand to them, it still might take them a couple of weeks to do it)
all by December 12th
Importantly, payback times are going to move from around '8 years before you get your money back' (ie. 12% return on investment) to around '20 years before you get your money back' (ie. 4-5% roi)

The Tobin tax looks like being dead in the water. A EU wide tax would see financial transactions being done outside the EU to the disadvantage of members of the EU. The way it is proposed, traders would likely do fewer bigger trades increasing volatility. Even Osborne is in favour of a global Tobin tax, but EU wide looks like being a problem.

I see that the Muslim group, Muslims against Crusaders, that caused outrage at last years Armistice Day by burning a poppy (the poppy burner was fined 50) are planning a further disruption on Nov 11th with a 'Hell for Heroes' campaign.
They have sort permission from the Police to hold a rally, stating their aim is to chant and disrupt the minutes silence.
I would bet that, due to their human right to protest, permission is given.
I wonder what would happen, if I contacted the Police requesting permission for a protest against the Muslim Brotherhood, stating I intended to disrupt a service by standing outside a Mosque whilst burning a copy of the Koran.
I bet my feet wouldn't touch.
I would be arrested for racial hatred, incitement to cause racial hatred and incitement to cause harassment, harm and distress.
As no doubt my crimes would be judged, Racist, I would be not be given a token fine of 50, but receive a jail sentence of several months.
I will wait and see what the outcome will be, but I won't hold my breath to see if we are all equal under the law.
No wonder people are angry.
If I lived anywhere near London, I would be one of those anti Muslim against Crusades protesters.
Enoch Powell will be proved right and it will be this countries weak leaders that will allow it to be so.

Greek,
Could this be seen as incitement.
Which of course I assume you would be against!

Enoch Powell was proved right even before the EU and Blair's New Labour opened the flood gates to uncontrolled immigration.

Hi Aldwick,
Agreed, but we ain't seen nothing yet!.
Yesterdays projected figures for the population for around 2050 show that two thirds of all birth in the UK will be to immigrant families.
I remember a couple of years ago a Muslim Preacher saying that through births the UK will be prominently none indigenous white within 30 years.
With immigrants on average having twice the birth rate of none immigrants, he will be right.
No doubt some will think me racist for my comments, but I am a great believer in other cultures and religions having their rights, as long as they do not harm or interfere with others. If I went to live in a foreign country I would expect to learn the language, at least to a standard to allow me to get by without help from the state, I would not expect my beliefs (not difficult as I am an atheist) to be allowed to interfere with other.
What I would expect is to conform with their laws and traditions, not to have every whim of my Britishness pandered to at every turn, giving me far more rights than the locals.
We are second class citizens in our own country!
Greek.
