Couldn't get in earlier, sign on door said "Closed for Essential Maintenance". Can't see anything different but maybe they have fixed Bunny's toaster.
Another week without winning the lottery so will have to survive another few days in a state of financial inadequacy. Still, did get notification of two small premium bond wins. Every little helps.
I'm off to the hammock now since it is Sunday morning already.
Good night all.

Spaceman,
A most kind invitation, and it is nice to be back in the old place..:-)
Circumstances have prevailed which made it difficult for me, but I am hoping my new status will afford me greater opportunities to visit this wonderful emporium in future.
I must say I am impressed with the recent refurb, though I notice my hand installed 1/4 M upgrade to the sound system some time ago has remained....I hope this signifies satisfactory performance??
I might make a recommendation though, number 11 on the volume control (Demolition Mode), may have saved money on the refurb preparations, yet my custom usage log indicates it was not applied?
Think it must be time to test it, so a quick run through of "Wishnig Well" by FREE, especially for Stockbunny...:-))
(Note to self, must remember to test number 12 on the volume control....."Wake The Dead Mode".....for public safety this has a 9 digit dual-key security code....after an unauthorised accidental test resulted in tony blair...:-(((
Now....GUINNESS...LOL

Good morning anyone, I see Stormy has been in. I think I'll try out this stereo of his and see what Beetoven's fifth sounds like at full chat.
Golly, lots of switches, dials and buttons. (Click, press, stab, poke) Oh whoops, what does this message mean, "This stereo will self destruct in 20 seconds, 20, 19, 18.............).
Right, must go an urgent appointment I've just remembered, bye...................

Oh dear looks as though Socs tried 11 on the volume control before he went out, the contents of all the kitchen cupbords are all on the floor, what a mess !!!
I must admit I didnt think there was a level 12, I am aware that some very rare stage amps have level 11 as I remember Nigel Tufnel describing it ;-) in spinal tap :-
Nigel Tufnel: [pointing to a customized Marshall amplifier head unit] This is a top, to, uh, you know, what we use on stage, but it's very, very special, because, if you can see...
Marty DiBergi: Yeah...
Nigel Tufnel: [pointing to the control dials] ...the numbers all go to eleven. Look, right across the board: eleven, eleven, eleven, eleven...
Marty DiBergi: Oh, I see. And most amps go up to ten?
Nigel Tufnel: Exactly.
Marty DiBergi: Does that mean it's louder? Is that any louder?
Nigel Tufnel: Well, it's one louder, isn't it? It's not ten. You see, most... most blokes, you know, will be playing at ten. You're on ten here, all the way up, all the way up, all the way up... you're on ten on your guitar. Where can you go from there? Where?
Marty DiBergi: I don't know...
Nigel Tufnel: ...nowhere! Exactly! What we do is if we need that extra... push over the cliff, you know what we do?
Marty DiBergi: Put it up to eleven.
Nigel Tufnel: ...Eleven. Exactly. One louder.
Marty DiBergi: Why don't you just make ten louder, and make ten be the top... number, and make that a little louder?
Nigel Tufnel: [pause, blank look and snapping chewing gum] These go to eleven.

Good evening anyone, place looks a bit of a mess. I wonder how that came about? I'll run the vacuum cleaner around, just to show willing. I wonder what this mangled pile of electronics is that's lying in the corner?

Guinness MUST be good in here...slept right through Socs musical efforts, that said it has been an exhausting week!
Socs,
Don't worry about the self destruct warning, it is a protection device to ward off the unwary, actually all the active safety mechanisms reside within the bomb-proof casing....to protect my valuable hardware automatically from...er....accidental twiddling...:-)
But you should have stayed for part 2, when the countdown reaches 10 secs the warning changes to one indicating that a motion detector giuded lazer will take-out anything that moves within arms length (it's calibrated for 8 feet..tee hee )
As a tribute to my sense of humour the second one is active....but it doesn't really matter, it's quite harmless.......after all the sound level that triggers the device would mash any brain tissue within 103 feet.
So I am quite safe...LOL
Spaceman,
I remember it well.....where are they now?....wistful stare...:-)
(Oh and regarding "12" this has been achieved using the liquid nitrogen cooled 3 stage pre-amp, this does necessitate EMP-rpoof connectors in the post-amp wiring, not so much to protect it from nuclear attack....er....more to protect nuclear attack from IT..LOL)
Incidentally while I am in geek mode, the speaker drivers are safe to level 13 (don't ask!!!), thanks to the Wolfram cores with passive ptfe lubication, and naturally only the best optimised / matched titanium speaker cones....
Except the tweeters...they developed an annoying tendency to generate lethal shrapnel when exploding in sympathy with second harmonics....so I can't actually tell you what they are constructed from, as I still hold an MOD security clearance....oops
Right, now for a bit of discipline, today marks the start of my first full week of leisure (unemployed bum..???), or put another way, my first full week as a "trainee trader"...ROFLMFAO....so must start properly....DP VIN '96 I believe to make the new week feel welcome..:-)
Cheers!

It's getting close to lunch so I'll prepare a home made chicken pie, chips and peas. Yes I know it's a bit basic but I'm feeling a bit lazy in this cold weather.
Still cold and grey here in the Wolds of Cot, supposed to be bright and cold but they got it wrong again dad.
