Spaceman - 28 Jan 2005 23:56

CLOSED - THANKS to all customers for the last few years

KEAYDIAN - 06 Feb 2007 12:37 - 12957 of 24230

Morning all.

optomistic - 06 Feb 2007 13:32 - 12958 of 24230

Morning he says!!

KEAYDIAN - 06 Feb 2007 14:08 - 12959 of 24230

Ok, ok. Afternoon all.

Still rather fresh out ideal open fire weather.

Talking of open fires and I don't want to cause a panic here, but is it me or is the stack of logs looking a bit low again?

stockbunny - 06 Feb 2007 14:18 - 12960 of 24230

Ok then - axe box key - BUT only for log chopping K!

KEAYDIAN - 06 Feb 2007 16:46 - 12961 of 24230

Of course, he he he he

You're a lucky man K, Bunny's down her burrow now :-)
Stop chopping things down and have a Guinness....or two.

Socrates - 06 Feb 2007 17:38 - 12964 of 24230

Hi ho. Cheltenham has been off the map today, power cut from early this morning till about 4:30 this afternoon. Don't know why yet but lots of disgruntled householders and shopkeepers around.

optomistic - 06 Feb 2007 19:03 - 12965 of 24230

It must have been done to stop you buying 'winners' Socco.

Socrates - 06 Feb 2007 19:10 - 12966 of 24230

That may be so Opto, overall in the blue today. Also had two small wins on the Ernie Bonds, there's lucky isn't it?

optomistic - 06 Feb 2007 20:00 - 12967 of 24230

That's good Socco, I haven't had a win for 14 months, before that they were arriving regularly....Next month perhaps :-)

KEAYDIAN - 06 Feb 2007 23:10 - 12968 of 24230

There that should keep the fire well stocked while the cold snap comes and goes.

Thanks Opto I'll have that Guinness now.

STORMCALLER - 07 Feb 2007 00:13 - 12969 of 24230

Good after-evening?

A day of mixed feelings I think, on the one hand my first (of many?...LOL) down day, not big, but they always say you remember your first....
On the other hand have now received written confirmation my employment has been ceased, so at least I can begin planning the way ahead with a little more certainty...:-)))
On balance then, a GOOD day.....goes without saying DP VIN, with a DP VIN chaser...LOL....CHEERS!!

Stockbunny,
Please accept my thanks for the timely warning....I promise that was a one-off and accept my punishment..:-)
I shall leave as soon as the bottle is empty....honest....no, REALLY..:-)

Oh, and by the way.....we must stop.....er.....not meeting like this ?@$!?

STORMCALLER - 07 Feb 2007 00:20 - 12970 of 24230

Spaceman,
I hope you won't mind some customer feed-back....could we perhaps have a simplified menu / wine list for group bookings??
Whilst the current one is most impressive, and all-encompassing, I was thinking a cut-down version may make life easier for the (excellent) staff when a bus-load of oiks crashes through the door???

PS, After my recent encounter with SB....don't think I should accept your kind offer of the night-security job, which I must admit was a touching gesture after my sudden (and unexpected!!) lack of employment.....sorry

STORMCALLER - 07 Feb 2007 01:14 - 12971 of 24230

As promised, am off to bed....and very necessary!!....goodnight all

SC

stockbunny - 07 Feb 2007 08:54 - 12972 of 24230

Morning all :>)
Gawd! KEAYDIAN where's my porch gone?
I don't know who was supervising him last night with that axe?
We'll have to have a serious think about who does log cutting duties.....

OK - tea's on, danish warming and anyone popping in can give me a hand with a hammer and some nails putting back the porch....Socs says he's good at Meccano, Opto's good at DIY - should get it back up this morning then! :>)

optomistic - 07 Feb 2007 09:01 - 12973 of 24230

Too cold Bunny, don't work in freezing conditions...not even for bunnies with fluffy ears :-)
Hope I don't have to get my own tea and danish now.

This_is_me - 07 Feb 2007 09:25 - 12974 of 24230

It may be true that 'Construction restarted, bribes were paid' but I would suggest that we need at least a roof in this weather so please lets get the construction completed. It is not alfresco time of the year.

I'll have a large fry, a large mug of tea and a hot water bottle please. If there are no hot water bottles I will need a cuddle from one of the girls, just to keep warm you understand.

stockbunny - 07 Feb 2007 09:43 - 12975 of 24230

K provided enough logs for in the coffee house T-I-M so keep us all toasty, it's us poor nicotine addicts who are minus our porch! Just venturing out in a faux fur coat, booties, mitts and what my sons call a beanie - we used to call them woolly hats....I must be getting old LOL

jj50 - 07 Feb 2007 11:40 - 12976 of 24230

This place is a wreck...someone needs to control K.

Quick coffee for me before TIM returns
for his cuddle ;-)
