You mean filming it or them.....just in time for the oscars....you'll have to rush to get it in, in time though....or is it a nice maiden's name ?.....if it's the other kind of shooting then....give her a hundred yards start ...be a good sport !...

MMs have marked down XEL very sharply this morning ..... as usual, one doesn't know whether there is good cause or just an attempt to shake out some stock on stop-losses

END OF MARCH NOW!!

28 February 2011

Xcite Energy Limited

("Xcite Energy" or the "Company")

Reserves Assessment Process Update

Following the successful Bentley 9/3b-6 well test in December 2010, the Company's 100% subsidiary, Xcite Energy Resources Limited ("XER"), has been working on a Reserves report that will update the RPS Energy Competent Person's report dated February 2009.

TRACS, part of the AGR Group, was appointed as the independent third party engineers to undertake the Reserves report on behalf of XER in the second half of 2010 and RPS Energy will continue to advise the Company to optimise the report.

The success of the Bentley 9/3b-6 well test requires XER to re-assess all material aspects of the reservoir model as the starting point for the input to the Reserves report. The information and data available from the well is still in the process of being received and collated and the Company intends to use as much of this material as possible for input to the Reserves report.

The Reserves report will be focused on the First Stage Production ("FSP") of the Bentley field, for which the work programme is underway and the Rowan jack-up rig has been contracted. The Reserves report will assess reserves in connection with the FSP only, while also providing a further update to the resources on a field-wide basis.

The Company expects the completion of the Reserves report to be around the end of March 2011, but will take the time necessary to maximise the value of the report.

cynic - 28 Feb 2011 08:29 - 1305 of 3002

am i getting too attached to this share? ...... delays are almost never precursors to good news ....

however, the crumb of comfort lies in "The Reserves report will be focused on the First Stage Production ("FSP") of the Bentley field, for which the work programme is underway and the Rowan jack-up rig has been contracted".

cynic - 01 Mar 2011 08:20 - 1306 of 3002

this is getting very tiresome indeed as sp dumps another lump to 315

monacoman - 01 Mar 2011 08:27 - 1307 of 3002

if this is a tree shake and it seems a fairly determined one, perhaps MM's are already aware of good news not very far away ?

markymar - 01 Mar 2011 08:27 - 1308 of 3002

What a crap 3 months start of the year.

Biggest holdings XEL and RKH

Its like running up hill at moment, maybe turn the computer off and come back in 4 weeks time.Down big time from the start of the year.

tosh!!!!!!

gildph - 01 Mar 2011 08:36 - 1309 of 3002

i hear mark am severely overweight in both and am utterly depressed right now with year to date performance!

Time Traveller - 01 Mar 2011 08:39 - 1310 of 3002

Can I join the club?
Made a good chunk with the rise in XEL and when it fell back bought back in. Turns out I was waaaayyyy too early!

gildph - 01 Mar 2011 08:44 - 1311 of 3002

forgot to mention RRR down nearly 40% since high b4 xmas :-(

cynic - 01 Mar 2011 08:49 - 1312 of 3002

why do none of you ever bank any profits? ..... while i too am running a nasty loss on my current holding, at least i banked much more (i'm 95% certain) when XEL was much higher

Balerboy - 01 Mar 2011 08:52 - 1313 of 3002

because we're greedy bast***s.......there i've said it!!

cynic - 01 Mar 2011 08:53 - 1314 of 3002

for my very many sins, i have just attempted to catch the guillotine and bought a few more at 313

markymar - 01 Mar 2011 09:05 - 1315 of 3002

Thought i would keep away from high risk shares like Desire..........i think they will bounce in 4 weeks both of them but looking at the picture now its gloom and doom.

Holding other stock in smaller numbers and none of them are doing well either.

I will now put my head in the gas cooker!!!!!!

required field - 01 Mar 2011 09:13 - 1316 of 3002

You will all be pleased that I've just more than doubled my holding sub 310p....far too low now.....probably oil in the ground is worth double to any company...at least...

cielo - 01 Mar 2011 09:25 - 1317 of 3002
