VOG is presently drilling Well 104 in its West Medvezhye field, and expected to reach depth in 4 weeks from spud date of 30th June, that makes 27th July(this week).
Results of testing will be sometime mid/late August, with a positive outcome
it could be HUGH.
With estimates of 134BILLION cubic metres of GAS and 201 Million barrels of Gas
Condensate,it will be a Company Maker. The field is in the area of the largest gas field in the WORLD.
Other assets include Kemerkol in Kazakhstan, with C1 reserves of 8.7MBO
and C2 reserves of7.8MBO. Another acquistion is Tamdykol with potental
reserves of 34MBO, it also has interest in 2 blocks in the North Sea.
You can check it out on www.uk-wire.com, and its own site of www.victoriaoilandgas.com.
It has excellent management team led by Kevin Foo, who hopes to turn it into
a Mid Cap Company(500m+) in the not to distant future.
As i stated earlier in the post, Drilling is almost complete so it won't be long to Lift Off?
Well, Well worth checking out.

Wouldnt like to be in this at mo very risky and speculitive stock, wait until the positive rns is issued and then start buying heavyly , i will make between 30- 50% over a three month period just riding on positive sentemt leading up to the next drilling campaign next year.
Theres alot of people out there who are gambling with money they cant afford to lose, just be careful and think what you are doing.
Bunch of gambling fools, but if it pays of i will be happy for everyone invested.
Good luck, past experence is fantastic when you have it, gaining it can be painful.

new boy thanks for interpreting my sentiments so well. price has rallied since my post,
so would like to say that i also will be happy for all those holders brave enough to hang on in there.
I stand by my original comments, perhaps we have both experienced that same pain.
best regards
jkd
ps i am keeping a close eye on this stock.

clearly a chartist's view, which is not necessarily invalid for all that, though i happen not to agree in this instance (with fingers crossed!)

thank you cynic, yes i am a chartist, not a technical analyst. it seems that in this day and age they seem to have sort of merged , or are now considered the same by many.
It is nice that you are able to distinguish between the two. good luck to you .
best regards

Well 103 Results Confirm Hydrocarbon Presence at West Medvezhye Project, Russia
Three hydrocarbon-bearing intervals totalling over 55 feet of net pay
sands confirmed by petrophysical interpretation of open-hole logs
Intervals located in or around the Bazhenov shale, the source rock for
some of the largest gas and condensate accumulations in the world
Well to be put on test for 90 - 120 days to determine accumulation
characteristics and size
Victoria Oil & Gas Plc ('Victoria' or the 'Company')(ticker: VOG), the AIM-
quoted oil and gas company focused on the Former Soviet Union, today announces
results of petrophysical interpretation based on the open-hole logging at Well
103 at its West Medvezhye gas and condensate project in Russia.
The well was drilled to a total depth of 3,900 meters and open-hole logs were
obtained with petrophysical interpretations generated by the Company's technical
team, Baker Atlas and Krasnoyarskgeophysika.
The log data obtained from the wellbore and subsequent interpretation has
yielded the following results:
Interval 3,730 - 3,737 metres: hydrocarbon-bearing sands were observed
in the Bazhenov horizon with hydrocarbon saturation of 50% and
porosity of 11%.
Interval 3,794 - 3,799 metres: hydrocarbon-bearing sands were observed
in the Jurassic (J2) horizon with hydrocarbon saturation of 75% and
porosity of 15%.
Interval 3,812 - 3,817 metres: hydrocarbon-bearing sands were observed
in the J2 horizon with hydrocarbon saturation of 75% and porosity of
17%.
The logs give a strong indication of the presence of gas or gas condensate,
however, the Company cannot rule out the possibility of independent oil
accumulations as several wells in nearby licence areas have produced crude oil
from the J2 horizon. The horizons indicating hydrocarbon shows are either within
or close to the Bazhenov shale. This is the source rock for the Nadym-Pur
hydrocarbon province, which hosts some of the largest gas and gas condensate
fields in the world.
On the basis of these results, casing will be set to a depth of 3,880 metres and
mobilisation will begin for testing to determine reservoir productivity,
characteristics and reserve volume size. This testing will take place for a
minimum period of 90 to 120 days and the Company anticipates commencement before
the end of the year.
The Company will also be using the subsurface data gathered from this well to
refine its interpretation of its existing seismic data. This will remove some of
the uncertainty inherent in the identification and selection of the targets for
the further exploration of the licence area.
Commenting today, Managing Director William Kelleher said, 'Today's results are
extremely important for Victoria as they confirm the presence of hydrocarbons at
Well 103 in over 55 feet of net pay sands. These same intervals produce from
adjacent wells in nearby licence areas and the subsurface data we have obtained
will greatly enhance our analysis of the new exploration targets to be drilled
this winter. Presently the well is stable, in good condition and will be cased
prior to extensive testing to confirm the nature and overall size of each
accumulation as well as potential productivity.'

Good to see that the statement is sensibly worded rather than gung-ho ...... will be interesting to see how sp reacts, not only today but over the coming week(s)

three hydrocarbon zones of 55ft total net pay. good sign. i also have been following gold oil (goo) who have reported from drilling two hydrocarbon bearing sands zones of 250ft gross and 315ft gross (565ft) total. to be production tested over next few weeks.

"Can't read much into VOG other than what they state. Horizons are thin, but without knowing the geology you can't be sure of the extent acreage wise. EWT will tell them more. Price reaction probably about right IMO, but then WTFDIK? ;-) "
