Empyrean Energy PLC
(\'Empyrean\' or the \'Company\'; Ticker: (EME))

Sugarloaf Prospect, (\'Sugarloaf\'), Block B, Texas USA
-----------------------------------------------------

Empyrean, the AIM listed oil and gas explorer and producer with assets in
Germany and USA today announces the following:

Kennedy -1H Well
----------------

The operator advises that following the 4-1/2 inch liner being cemented in place
in the horizontal section of the well, the drilling rig was released on December
8, 2007. The operator intends to run a radial bond log to assess the cement job
before finalising plans for an extensive fracture stimulation program and test
operations on the well. It is likely that these operations will start early in
the new year.

Sugarloaf-1 Well
----------------

Flow testing of the deepest of three zones of interest in the Austin Chalk
continues. Swabbing and short periods of natural flow have recovered small
quantities of gas and condensate together with fracture stimulation fluids and
work fluids. The operator has advised that the test program will include further
swabbing before shutting the well in for a seven day pressure build up test. An
electronic pressure gauge assembly has been deployed by wireline. Further work
on this zone will be dependant on the analysis of the test and other data.

Weekly update from a ausse jvp regarding KH1,interesting in that great care and expense is being taken over the cementing. Also "extensive stimulation program and testing"
A barguin imho and all should be revealed within 6 weeks?

EME needs more than viagra and prostate massage!

Big Al - 21 Dec 2007 20:11 - 1313 of 2087

Chameleon - you are gullible.

Cyril - you are more so. "great care and expense is being taken over the cementing" - I've never heard so much s**t in my life. Cementing is a one way deal and it gets done right every time if at all possible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jesus Christ!

niceonecyril - 22 Dec 2007 22:54 - 1314 of 2087

Al would you like to read some more?
The operator intends a radial bond log to "assess the cement job" before
finalizing plans for extensive fracture stimulation program and test operation on
the well.
AUT's words not mine.
I,ve also seen the system they intend to employ, its the latest state of the
art and expensive.
As far as cement failure, i've been in a share which suffered cement failed although
can't remember which one at this minute.

niceonecyril - 25 Dec 2007 14:00 - 1320 of 2087

Putting aside S/Loaf for the moment. Checking around i see that Eagle is back on
the agenda, from VPE's site Eagle drilling Jan 2008 and EME's,in the process of preparing the well (2006) for production testing?

hushpuppy - 31 Dec 2007 08:42 - 1322 of 2087

Radial cement bond logs are often a complete waste of time and money. In the majority of cases they are so hard to understand that all they do is generate confusion

cynic - 31 Dec 2007 09:36 - 1323 of 2087

conversely, the share price movement is easily interpreted!

niceonecyril - 01 Jan 2008 18:19 - 1324 of 2087

Hopefully we get some positive news this month?
Happy new year to all, even the doubters.
