Chart.aspx?Provider=EODIntra&Code=BLNX&S

With video search set to be the next big growth area BLNX have the software the likes of Microsoft, Google and NewsCorp would love to have.

In fact BLNX have done deals with most of these, the most recent being the UtargetFox deal which has been reported in the USA but not RNS'd in the UK.

Alexa rankings confirm the continued growth in usage as its viral effect spreads:-

The ITN RNS confirms blnx is the best in the market and is growing fast:-

Leading News Organization ITN Extends Advertising Deal with blinkx Based on Proven Campaign Success

blinkx Selected to Power Advertising across ITN Website and Syndication Partner Sites

SAN FRANCISCO, CALIF. - July 2, 2008 - blinkx, the world's largest and most advanced video search engine, today announced that it has won an extension contract that will augment the scope of its advertising partnership with ITN, one of the world's leading news and multimedia content companies. Under the terms of the new agreement, ITN will use AdHoc, blinkx's patented contextual advertising platform for online TV and video, to serve advertisements on the ITN website and its syndication partner sites, including Bebo.

Through AdHoc, ITN has already been effectively monetizing its premium news content on the blinkx.com network for over six months. During this time, ITN achieved a significantly better return, greater search volume, and higher monetization through blinkx than through other syndication partners.

AdHoc uses blinkx's patented speech-to-text transcription and visual analysis technology to understand video content more thoroughly and effectively than any other service today, and can therefore dynamically place the most pertinent advertising against it. The AdHoc platform offers media companies and advertisers a unique value proposition -- video advertising which combines the emotive power of TV promotion, with the relevance and utility of contextual search advertising.

The confluence of ITN's premium TV content, blinkx's extensive syndication network, and AdHoc's uniquely powerful targeting capabilities was a formula for success. By extending its partnership with blinkx, ITN aims to achieve similar returns by leveraging the AdHoc platform to deliver contextually relevant video advertising on its own website and across its distribution partner sites.

'We're thrilled to be broadening our relationship with ITN,' said Suranga Chandratillake, founder and CEO of blinkx. 'News content is one of the most popular categories of online video and there's clearly a tremendous opportunity for monetization. The success of our partnership with ITN is evidence that the blinkx AdHoc platform is a uniquely powerful solution for online video advertising today.'

'We've been delighted with the results of our partnership with blinkx and are looking forward to implementing the AdHoc technology on our site,' said Nicholas Wheeler, managing director, ITN On. 'blinkx AdHoc has proven that it can achieve significant monetization of our content, effective marketing for advertisers and, most importantly, a useful, non-disruptive experience for our audience.'

As a pioneer in video search technology, blinkx has built a reputation as the most effective way to search new forms of online content such as video. With more than 350 partners and 26 million hours of indexed video and audio content, including favorite TV moments, news clips, short documentaries, music videos, video blogs and more, blinkx uses advanced speech recognition technology to deliver results that are more accurate and reliable than standard metadata-based keyword searches.

Did you get my email? I had a lot of trouble sending it via MAM. It took about 6 attempts.

hilary - 21 Jul 2010 16:51 - 1309 of 6187

Not yet, Tabster, I'm just muppet baiting at the moment. If you're as good as you think you are, you'll know soon enough if I short it.

hilary - 21 Jul 2010 16:53 - 1310 of 6187

Yes I did, thanks, Haystack. I think the am site went down for a bit earlier which might explain why I received it thrice.

:o)

I'll look it over tonight and get back to you in the morning.

Haystack - 21 Jul 2010 16:55 - 1311 of 6187

post 1287 .... that looks very much like an estate agent's pic ..... personally speaking, there is scarcely a house on the wentworth estate which i would want to live in, and that isn't one ..... for all that, there are far worse examples of crass taste to be found there - no surprises! ..... i wonder if this particular one is the house behind the 17th green on the south ..... though pseudo georgian with a typically huge footprint, it blends in reasonably well

skinny - 21 Jul 2010 21:45 - 1315 of 6187

Yes its from Knightfrank findaproperty - hardly rocket science!

cynic - 21 Jul 2010 21:50 - 1316 of 6187

wasn't difficult to guess ... the style of pic is typical

tabasco - 22 Jul 2010 06:53 - 1317 of 6187

Anyone worked out why the doctor and Suranga decided to sell at exactly the same timecould have been a get together there?surely not a cunning plan by somebody that has total contempt for the marketslol
Lynch - boss of Autonomy and still a non-executive director of blnx yesterday sold 750,000 shares at 65p each to raise 487,500. This leaves him with a 7.5% holding
At the same time Suranga exercised options over 383,257 shares at 1p each and sold them for a total of nearly 250,000.a somewhat coincidence!!
Suranga retains 4,109,314 sharesthe Doctor retains 23,252,712 sharesif it was a have it off exercisewhy not go full throttle?

Joe Say - 22 Jul 2010 08:08 - 1318 of 6187

tabby - it would be the norm - ie the board would have discussed the potential sale and ratified it - if 2 directors interested in selling (or for that matter buying) then best doen at the same time

tabasco - 22 Jul 2010 08:23 - 1319 of 6187

Joe completely understand your pointbut why did they both sell?.Directors cannot trade in their own shares if they are aware of price sensitive informationobviously no imminent bad news comingbut cant see a problem if they both made a few quid and then good news comes outshare price rises once moreinstitutional demand satisfied.. which has happened before with the Doctorhe aint keen on the marketsand has kicked their butts beforeeveryone's a winnerjust my take?

Clubman3509 - 22 Jul 2010 08:52 - 1320 of 6187

Sorry Tabby but I did tell you Autonomy would bring down BLNX today.

tabasco - 22 Jul 2010 09:00 - 1321 of 6187

ClubbyI doubt very much if blnx will be down too much todayif at alltraders games

chessplayer - 22 Jul 2010 09:02 - 1322 of 6187

The way I see it,there isn't much point having the shares if you can't sell a few now and then to earn a crust!!
A lot of fuss about very little.

Joe Say - 22 Jul 2010 09:06 - 1323 of 6187

agree with chessplayer - simply a good time to sell into strength imo, and not a reflection on where they see a fair SP

What the market seems to have ignored is their remaining interests. If they truly saw this as a peak, then they would have bailed out and taken the flak, I'd have thought. Relatively small disposals (for them) is just a means of realising some cash

chessplayer - 22 Jul 2010 09:15 - 1324 of 6187

Joe,it is refreshing to hear a sane remark now and then.
The share is up 250% in a couple of months.
It would be remarkable if it didn't pull back,no matter what the company.

tabasco - 22 Jul 2010 09:17 - 1325 of 6187

Well it looks like we all agree!
