Lambykins's Dutch Coffee House - ADULTS ONLY (LAMB)

Spaceman - 28 Jan 2005 23:56

CLOSED - THANKS to all customers for the last few years

STORMCALLER - 12 Feb 2007 14:20 - 13068 of 24230

Afternoon all,

Bunny, we still have a hosepipe ban, apparently in an attempt to combat flooding or something...lol

Just finished a washing-up mountain and feel I deserve a short rest....er....any fission chips left, with perhaps a mushroom?, and possibly a small glass of heavy water...:-)

Spaceman - 12 Feb 2007 14:39 - 13069 of 24230

Stormy, we have one of those new fangled disk washer machines in Sevenoaks, last week I tried it out for the first time when Mrs S told me to 'do the washing up'.

I took me about 20 minutes to work out how to put all the dishes and things into the machine and then about another 20 minutes to find out that it uses a small block of washing stuff rather than washing up liquid and that the block has to be put into a small cupboard in the machines door.

Eventually I managed to switch it on and it washed up in just over an hour, if I take into account the loading time etc the whole exercise took over 2 hours, is that progress ?

And to cap it all when Mrs. S got home I was told off because I had used the wrong program.....

STORMCALLER - 12 Feb 2007 14:40 - 13070 of 24230

Spaceman,

What e delightful story of domestic bliss....how I envy you..:-)

oops must dash, duty calls!

KEAYDIAN - 12 Feb 2007 14:41 - 13071 of 24230

LOL, put your foot down Spacie.

stockbunny - 12 Feb 2007 14:42 - 13072 of 24230

Afternoon chaps :>)
Don't be lazy Spacie - save the planet and buy a pair of rubber gloves and a bottle of Fairy!
Mushrooms I have, the chips look pretty ordinary to me.....
;>)

Spaceman - 12 Feb 2007 14:45 - 13073 of 24230

LOL Bunny, now thats the sore point, Mrs S tells me that the washing up machine is actually better for the environment.....

But I do like wearing rubber .....

jeffmack - 12 Feb 2007 15:03 - 13074 of 24230

Greetings from Paris. Train was busy this morning. Valentine lovers making an early start maybe

stockbunny - 12 Feb 2007 15:07 - 13075 of 24230

Well I wouldn't contradict Mrs Spacie.....but you have no excuse, wearing rubber gloves wont hurt you not unless you try and wear them somewhere silly.....
AND on that note it's a swift subject change! ;>)

Anyone for a tea/coffee refill ?

STORMCALLER - 13 Feb 2007 00:49 - 13076 of 24230

Evening...:-)

Suppose I am too late for the tea/coffee..:-(....no change there then!

Socs,

Must apologise for not acknpwledging your earler comment, still in a state of some chaos here, after recent developments...oops...:-)

Another "cracked" day tomorrow as well, have to take my dad to Kent for midday appointment, then quack visit in the evening......thought when I took a break from work I would have lots of spare time.....I WISH!
I think what is needed is a bit of prioritisation....sort myself out....first-things-first and all that guff....will start as I mean to go on......Guinness...CHEERS...:-)

stockbunny - 13 Feb 2007 10:16 - 13077 of 24230

Morning - tea's on, danish warming....
How is everyone today then?

jeffmack - 13 Feb 2007 11:21 - 13078 of 24230

Spaceman - 13 Feb 2007 11:32 - 13079 of 24230

jj50 - 13 Feb 2007 11:37 - 13080 of 24230

who has been in :-(

stockbunny - 13 Feb 2007 12:10 - 13081 of 24230

More danish ready now :>)
and some beef casserole left over from yesterday with veggies for those who need bulk and red meat.

jeffmack - 13 Feb 2007 12:22 - 13082 of 24230

Not me. I just had a pizza with shrimp on that I thought was ham. As I hate anything fishy I just ate the crust

stockbunny - 13 Feb 2007 13:14 - 13083 of 24230

A little more water with it Jeffie if you are mistaking the look of ham with shrimp!
LOL
Order another one ....

jeffmack - 13 Feb 2007 13:27 - 13084 of 24230

Bunny
In the canteen they have the meals on display in the entrance so you know what it is. They have been standing there in the open for 3-4 hours and never look like they are supposed to. Dried up bits of pink stuff could easily be mistaken for ham, even though it did not say jambon.

KEAYDIAN - 13 Feb 2007 13:56 - 13085 of 24230

Morning all.

Any lunch going? I'm hank marvin.

stockbunny - 13 Feb 2007 14:12 - 13086 of 24230

Afternoon Hank - where's your guitar?
Jeffius Mackius - don't eat stuff that's been standing in the open for several hours unless you want a touch of Bombay Belly - seriously it's not a good idea, especially if it is meat/sea food - is anything kept refridgerated? otherwise cheese may be a better bet.

jj50 - 13 Feb 2007 14:13 - 13087 of 24230

Hi Hank .. you look a shadow of your old self :-)
