........."And so to our traditional "wild card". Pipex Communications, formerly known as GX Networks, is a telecoms company created by one of the entrepreneurs behind Ukbetting, Peter Dubens. It has been assembled from six smaller players. The ambitious company is generating cash for the first time but is still not widely followed in the City. It could be an undiscovered gem".

Stay in ... this is going to double in the next 3 months (imho). the sp should be much higher than it is today.
sp doing what it always does after good news- no surprise there! However, I still think this share will amaze us one day soon. It will suddenly start going up to where it should be. I'd rather stay in then get out now.

Skyhigh. We have all been saying, soon,3 months, anytime now, re-rating etc for a long time. All we see is manipulation of the share price.

skyhigh - i've been in this share for two years, first bought in at 4.5p. I've been waiting ever since to be amazed.
Not going to bail now. I do beleive this share is greatly underpriced and has huge potential, but I'm not holding my breath anymore.

I wish they'd consolidate. Part of the problem is that there is just such a huge volume of shares around that a buy of, say, 10,000,000 shares is still a small percentage of the total.

I agree to a degree (if you see what I mean) but out of the 2 billion shares in issue, quite a large percentage are in the hands of institutions, although I have never been able to find a website that is sufficiently upto date to know exactly how many.

Pipex and Tiscali escalate price war
June 21, 2005
By James Harding - Webuser
ISPs continued cutting prices this week as Pipex offered cheap voice calls to its broadband customers and Tiscali launched promotions in WHSmith stores.
Pipex Talk, the new service available to Pipex broadband customers, gives you 3,000 minutes of UK landline calls for 4.99 per month. It's available from 1 July.
Dominic Crolla, managing director of Pipex, said switching is easy and the deals mean it is a great time to move. The introduction of Pipex Talk will release a few pounds per month for our customers who switch their voice services away from BT, without any fuss, he said.
Meanwhile Tiscali has extended its ISP services for WHSmith customers with the launch of two discounted deals: Smart Talk Anytime, which offers unlimited national and local UK calls for 7.49 per month; and 1MB broadband bundled with Smart Talk Anytime for 19.49 per month.
Although ISPs are fighting to win broadband customers with deals and price cuts, uSwitch, the price comparison service, warned that consumers choosing a broadband package should beware of cheap rates and be sure to consider the package as a whole, including the speed and monthly service restrictions.
Jon Miller, director of uSwitch.com said we take downloading music files, sending emails and sharing photographs for granted. It's important that people take time to work out exactly what they will be using their broadband connection for, he said, so that they don't under or over-estimate their downloading activity.
Consumers may be unaware of the potential penalties for exceeding their monthly usage limit and may find that they are treated like current account customers who exceed their overdraft limit, with some suppliers suspending the service for repeat offenders.
Tiscali's bundled offer has a 2GB monthly limit, for example.
