Lambykins's Dutch Coffee House - ADULTS ONLY (LAMB)

Spaceman - 28 Jan 2005 23:56

CLOSED - THANKS to all customers for the last few years

Socrates - 16 Feb 2007 10:19 - 13181 of 24230

Honestly Choccy, I don't know. Somehow I cannot visualise any of our ladies, especially you, dancing naked around a bonfire and chanting incantations. But then, I've led a very sheltered life.
[;~)

Quite right too, Socks.
It's far too wet for that today.

jeffmack - 16 Feb 2007 10:28 - 13183 of 24230

Tim
I expect to be here that week. I often stay in the Renaissance Le Defence, where I am next week. Its usually about Euro 185 per night. If you are looking for cheap and cheerful, the Mercure Le Defense Esplanade is about Euro 135 per night.

hilary - 16 Feb 2007 10:47 - 13184 of 24230

Formule 1 is only 28 a night, Jeffie.

jeffmack - 16 Feb 2007 10:53 - 13185 of 24230

Hils
When someone else is paying the Renaissance will do for me.

hilary - 16 Feb 2007 10:54 - 13186 of 24230

Joking aside, Jeff, I stay at this place when I'm in Paris. It's about 20 miles outside, but I hate Paris centre anyway and wouldn't want to stay there..

stockbunny - 16 Feb 2007 10:58 - 13187 of 24230

Morning - taking over for the lunctime shift....
OK so what are we all eating?
Once I know I'll check if we have it in the fridge!

Socrates - 16 Feb 2007 11:08 - 13188 of 24230

I'm making a corned beef hash Bunny, my special recipe.

stockbunny - 16 Feb 2007 11:11 - 13189 of 24230

OK then...I'll pass if you don't mind and have a tuna fillet and salad.

Socrates - 16 Feb 2007 11:34 - 13190 of 24230

I steer clear of tuna because they are becoming endangered of over fishing, but tins of corned beef are not endangered yet.

stockbunny - 16 Feb 2007 11:42 - 13191 of 24230

That is true Socs...but my stomach could be endangered if I eat that stuff, so I'll pass...but don't let me put your off....

jeffmack - 16 Feb 2007 11:46 - 13192 of 24230

I just had liver, I dont really like liver. Sometimes I dont get what I think I'm getting as the menu in the canteen is in French.

stockbunny - 16 Feb 2007 11:58 - 13193 of 24230

Fromage Jeffie go for fromage...at least that way you wont get internal organs!
Have some of Socs corned beef stuff to finish off with.....

chocolat - 16 Feb 2007 12:12 - 13194 of 24230

Oh I dunno bunny - jeffie could easily confuse fromage with foie again.

jeffmack - 16 Feb 2007 12:17 - 13195 of 24230

quite possibly choccie pops

stockbunny - 16 Feb 2007 12:30 - 13196 of 24230

Had a look on ebay for you JM to see if there was a French food dictionary - no joy I'm afraid, guess you need a really good dictionary - aren't there pocket electronic translators these days that instantly display what something is in English?

Failing that looks like you need to employ Choccie as advisor

chocolat - 16 Feb 2007 12:36 - 13197 of 24230

Well it's been a while since I was in La Defense ;)

Socrates - 16 Feb 2007 12:47 - 13198 of 24230

I used to work at the Ministry of Le Defense in London!

Corned beef hash all prepared and cooking, be ready about 13:20, that's twenty past one for the non-military types. Perhaps some kind person could recommend a fine wine to complement it.

Socrates - 16 Feb 2007 12:52 - 13199 of 24230

Sextant Chardonnay 2005, never heard of that one!

stockbunny - 16 Feb 2007 13:03 - 13200 of 24230

AI?
Chardonnay...that sounds horribly white and dry to me - go for some good ol Cab Sauv :>)
