BLINX and you've missed it, the next google multi bagger!!! (BLNX)

Still Waiting - 25 Jul 2008 23:22

Chart.aspx?Provider=EODIntra&Code=BLNX&S

With video search set to be the next big growth area BLNX have the software the likes of Microsoft, Google and NewsCorp would love to have.

In fact BLNX have done deals with most of these, the most recent being the UtargetFox deal which has been reported in the USA but not RNS'd in the UK.

Alexa rankings confirm the continued growth in usage as its viral effect spreads:-

The ITN RNS confirms blnx is the best in the market and is growing fast:-

Leading News Organization ITN Extends Advertising Deal with blinkx Based on Proven Campaign Success

blinkx Selected to Power Advertising across ITN Website and Syndication Partner Sites

SAN FRANCISCO, CALIF. - July 2, 2008 - blinkx, the world's largest and most advanced video search engine, today announced that it has won an extension contract that will augment the scope of its advertising partnership with ITN, one of the world's leading news and multimedia content companies. Under the terms of the new agreement, ITN will use AdHoc, blinkx's patented contextual advertising platform for online TV and video, to serve advertisements on the ITN website and its syndication partner sites, including Bebo.

Through AdHoc, ITN has already been effectively monetizing its premium news content on the blinkx.com network for over six months. During this time, ITN achieved a significantly better return, greater search volume, and higher monetization through blinkx than through other syndication partners.

AdHoc uses blinkx's patented speech-to-text transcription and visual analysis technology to understand video content more thoroughly and effectively than any other service today, and can therefore dynamically place the most pertinent advertising against it. The AdHoc platform offers media companies and advertisers a unique value proposition -- video advertising which combines the emotive power of TV promotion, with the relevance and utility of contextual search advertising.

The confluence of ITN's premium TV content, blinkx's extensive syndication network, and AdHoc's uniquely powerful targeting capabilities was a formula for success. By extending its partnership with blinkx, ITN aims to achieve similar returns by leveraging the AdHoc platform to deliver contextually relevant video advertising on its own website and across its distribution partner sites.

'We're thrilled to be broadening our relationship with ITN,' said Suranga Chandratillake, founder and CEO of blinkx. 'News content is one of the most popular categories of online video and there's clearly a tremendous opportunity for monetization. The success of our partnership with ITN is evidence that the blinkx AdHoc platform is a uniquely powerful solution for online video advertising today.'

'We've been delighted with the results of our partnership with blinkx and are looking forward to implementing the AdHoc technology on our site,' said Nicholas Wheeler, managing director, ITN On. 'blinkx AdHoc has proven that it can achieve significant monetization of our content, effective marketing for advertisers and, most importantly, a useful, non-disruptive experience for our audience.'

As a pioneer in video search technology, blinkx has built a reputation as the most effective way to search new forms of online content such as video. With more than 350 partners and 26 million hours of indexed video and audio content, including favorite TV moments, news clips, short documentaries, music videos, video blogs and more, blinkx uses advanced speech recognition technology to deliver results that are more accurate and reliable than standard metadata-based keyword searches.

Sorry Tabby but I did tell you Autonomy would bring down BLNX today.

tabasco - 22 Jul 2010 09:00 - 1321 of 6187

ClubbyI doubt very much if blnx will be down too much todayif at alltraders games

chessplayer - 22 Jul 2010 09:02 - 1322 of 6187

The way I see it,there isn't much point having the shares if you can't sell a few now and then to earn a crust!!
A lot of fuss about very little.

Joe Say - 22 Jul 2010 09:06 - 1323 of 6187

agree with chessplayer - simply a good time to sell into strength imo, and not a reflection on where they see a fair SP

What the market seems to have ignored is their remaining interests. If they truly saw this as a peak, then they would have bailed out and taken the flak, I'd have thought. Relatively small disposals (for them) is just a means of realising some cash

chessplayer - 22 Jul 2010 09:15 - 1324 of 6187

Joe,it is refreshing to hear a sane remark now and then.
The share is up 250% in a couple of months.
It would be remarkable if it didn't pull back,no matter what the company.

tabasco - 22 Jul 2010 09:17 - 1325 of 6187

Well it looks like we all agree!

tabasco - 22 Jul 2010 09:56 - 1326 of 6187

I would like to see an already strong shareholder base underpinned furtherday traders have been beating themselves up blindly from the mid 70s of last week down to low 50s today50%+ of them have taken a big hitnot usI would lay long odds on that institutions will be picking up this new stockthey didnt understand blnx and have turned up late at the showas always sneaked in round the back doorend gamestronger base!

Clubman3509 - 22 Jul 2010 09:58 - 1327 of 6187

Until the large institutions get on board, (which IMHO they will not) this stock is on a downward spirel.

Clubman3509 - 22 Jul 2010 10:19 - 1329 of 6187

It will be a long time, if ever before BLNX enters the FTSE 100

tabasco - 22 Jul 2010 10:24 - 1330 of 6187

Thats not what I said!

Clubman3509 - 22 Jul 2010 10:26 - 1331 of 6187

Autonomy has been good for me, but Tabby BLNX is not in the same vein

cynic - 22 Jul 2010 10:28 - 1332 of 6187

i don't see BLNX recovering that quickly ... imo, sp got way ahead of itself ..... as QL wrote, at 33.5p it was a very good punt ... at some level - let's say 45p for no good reason - that prob still holds true ...... at 65p it isn't!

Clubman3509 - 22 Jul 2010 10:31 - 1333 of 6187

Cynic you know what they say about love is blind, and Tabby is letting his heart rule his head. I hope he does not lose too much with his obsession of BLNX.

required field - 22 Jul 2010 10:31 - 1334 of 6187

I'm not so sure Cynic, if a couple of contracts come along...

Clubman3509 - 22 Jul 2010 10:32 - 1335 of 6187

Or maybe 50 more partnerships

tabasco - 22 Jul 2010 10:40 - 1336 of 6187

I said wait and see at 12pfor which I was assassinatedand I am saying it againthats not hard is it?

Clubman3509 - 22 Jul 2010 10:42 - 1337 of 6187

Tabby is a lost cause

cynic - 22 Jul 2010 10:47 - 1338 of 6187

RF + Tabby - you're making the customary error of confusing contracts = turnover, with profit .... imo, blnx will eventually come good, though heaven knows, it's gathering "contracts" for a hell of a long time now, but there is now no obvious hurry to buy back in until say October (next figures 8/11)

Tosspot - are you still chickening out of a drink?

tabasco - 22 Jul 2010 12:00 - 1339 of 6187

Daniel Stewart Upgradelol
blinkx Goes Apps The formula is simple [Smartphone growth x apps x video] = a mobile advertising boom. Signing blinkxBeat with SamsungApps Android phone firmly aligns blinkx with this opportunity Investment Case Cisco projects that by 2014 mobile data traffic will have grown 39-fold, with some 72% being video-based. Inclusive of the mobile opportunity, we have raised our medium-term blinkx daily video search outlook (e.g. 2012 from 36m/day to 54m). Our DCF-based target per share value is raised accordingly from 61p to 110p/share.
