how often have you heard that about EME and how often has it had a little surge and how often have EME then had to come back and say all is not quite as good as predicted? ...... why don't you guys ever learn that at the very least, the management is not to be trusted to give out accurate info in the first place?

lizard - 03 Jan 2008 11:01 - 1329 of 2087

noc- i agree if you believe now would possibly be the time to punt.
-9% today on 74k volume. MM's are exploiting lack of +'ve news again.

micky468 - 03 Jan 2008 11:04 - 1330 of 2087

Cynic if your not to bussy can you look at the (MXP) charts..... let me no wt you think !!!! Thanks ........ post back on mxp

niceonecyril - 03 Jan 2008 11:39 - 1331 of 2087

cynic and how many times to i have to point out that EME is a very junior partner,
and not the masters of their fate in this play?

cynic - 03 Jan 2008 11:44 - 1332 of 2087

the company and its management are total CRAP ..... the share performance says it all

niceonecyril - 03 Jan 2008 12:19 - 1333 of 2087

We'll have agree to disagree on this one. But to put it in perspective, IEC from 15 60p down to 8,and remember you were not at all positive about that one.

almost like comparing apples with cement mixers! ..... i actually bought into IEC on chart pattern, though it happens they are also a significant oil producer, which EME patently are not! ..... i have also taken profits in IEC at various times, including some more just before Christmas ..... difficult to have done the same in EME over the last months!

niceonecyril - 03 Jan 2008 13:03 - 1335 of 2087

That was my earlier point regarding EME, its near a low and with news of fraccing just around the corner theirs a very likely chance of a once nice profit? If you read
my post Christmas shopping i put forward EME as being able to make 10%,
Bid 29p to Offer 32p is a fair profit. I suggest you look at the chart over last 6 months and you will see what swings their have been.

cynic - 03 Jan 2008 13:13 - 1336 of 2087

if EME shares go up 10% (mid/mid), how much will you make nett after taking account of the spread and dealing costs? ...... best part of bugger all!

niceonecyril - 03 Jan 2008 13:32 - 1337 of 2087

I believe i used the terms bid and offer which after various expences related to 10%. And imho will be easily achieved in the very near future?

keep sticking your money there then ..... perhaps you would also like to add ULT and SEO to your portfolio

niceonecyril - 03 Jan 2008 14:18 - 1339 of 2087

TUT, TUT i would certainly not be so presumious to tell others where to put their
money, and most certainly not because of having a different view . As far as SEO concerned bought in the early days at 4p(16p&28p), IEC at 3(15), VOG at 36p(230pl) BRR from11p 7p and 16p(top sliced at 21p) EO. at 27p and 30p, as far as EME. originally at 30p (before selling a bundle above 150p) and recently (8 months ago)at 27p and taken some nice profits along the way.So i feel i have
a reasonable feel for a oil share, MRP and FEP are my failures.
Back to EME, it is IMPORTANT that peeps understand that S/loaf news is being controlled by the major involved and have to obey their rules on news releases,
the aussie JVP's are subject to laws which mean they are compelled to release
weekly updates, this in turn puts an obligation on EME as some of the news could be regarded as sensitive and explains the late RNS's (need to pass the Nomad)
following such releases.
BB's are for peeps to share info and help each other, not to take things to heart. At the end of the day we're grown ups and responsable for our trading desicions.
lol

sorry, but though it happens that i too made money on EME in the distant past, its more recent record stinks!

niceonecyril - 03 Jan 2008 15:47 - 1341 of 2087

I agree with you on that is so much as news is being held back and both sentiment and the hot money is elsewhere. Only time will tell concerning the
success of S/Loaf, but i,m of the firm opinion that their is some upside prior to
release of the fraccing results and that low 30's is a good point of entry?

the chart and its indicating signals disagree

Exract from an E-Mail from TK,
Empyrean will have lots of news in the coming Days/Weeks/Months as we now have 5 wells drilled or drilling in this project all with hydocarbons encountered that WILL be tested.Testing preparations are now well advanced and i expect the story will gather momentum when we start getting the first results from fraccing and flow testing TCEI Block A-1 well.
He finishes by saying; Believe no one is looking forward to getting testing underway more than me.

cynic - 06 Jan 2008 16:08 - 1344 of 2087

and is he God that he knows that EME will actually find something worthwhile - or at least something that stands up to scrutiny for more than 24 hours?

maestro - 06 Jan 2008 16:09 - 1345 of 2087

big news this week...company changing imho

cynic - 06 Jan 2008 16:23 - 1346 of 2087
