HARRYCAT - 26 Jul 2007 14:50 - 134 of 841

So was Marconi, M&S & C&A !!! :o)

cynic - 26 Jul 2007 14:52 - 135 of 841

so bail out then - lol! ..... you have two main choices

HARRYCAT - 08 Aug 2007 08:42 - 136 of 841

LONDON (Thomson Financial) - "Domino's Pizza UK & IRL said chairman Colin Halpern has sold 1 mln shares held by HS Real Co LLC at 250 pence each, reducing his stake to around 18.31 mln shares or 11.07 pct.
Halpern had an interest in 19.31 mln shares previously.

The pizza delivery business said HS Real is owned by a discretionary trust, the beneficiaries of which are the adult children of Colin and Gail Halpern."

& the sp drops by 7% !!! Presumably, once these shares are snapped up, the sp should recover?

cynic - 08 Aug 2007 08:58 - 137 of 841

it has already ...... while contemplating buying more, sp jumped straight back up but at least i got some more TAN at what i hope is a sharp price ....... am very happy holding both DOM and RTN

HARRYCAT - 08 Aug 2007 09:22 - 138 of 841

Am I right in saying that chart analysis would indicate that support level is about where it is now at 250p+. If it drops below this level, then 205p is the next support?
With jittery markets, a fall to 205p would seem likely to me.

cynic - 08 Aug 2007 09:29 - 139 of 841

can't disagree with that, though PT's more sophisticated charts might give a slightly different reading ...... however, i think this type of foodchain (for sharks - lol!) is in a good defensive sector in the event of market correction (as is RTN) ...... with a horrid summer, these places should have had a very good time ..... also, both DOM and RTN seem to have excellent management and track record and overall presentation ....... these two + SCHE, and maybe CTH which i have just added, are likely to stay in my portfolio much longer than most, though i may trade in and out from time to time.

cynic - 10 Aug 2007 14:55 - 140 of 841

may be no more than bear covering, but interesting to note +13.25 here ..... always assuming it's not an illusion that will melt away before close

maddoctor - 10 Aug 2007 15:02 - 141 of 841

safe home

HARRYCAT - 10 Aug 2007 15:21 - 142 of 841

Just seen bid 267, offer 265p !!!
Either the price indicator has gone nuts or .........they can't keep up with trades!!!

HARRYCAT - 10 Aug 2007 15:43 - 143 of 841

Back to b258, o259p. Just a blip sadly.

of shares in issue to 164,725,238.

Following the cancellation of such shares, the Company's issued share capital
consists of 164,725,238 ordinary shares all with voting rights."

Indieman - 22 Aug 2007 15:00 - 145 of 841

Support under the current price range is 220p rather than 205p, although there is a smear of support from 215p down to 200p below that.

I don't hold, having sold out in mid-June at a very handsome profit.

HARRYCAT - 22 Aug 2007 17:01 - 146 of 841

205p is the only support that I see (chart on P7 of this thread). 220p??? Can't see it.

cynic - 10 Oct 2007 11:09 - 147 of 841

chart is horrible, though i continue to hold for my sins! ....... arguably some support around 217, or below that, about 200 ..... much as Indieman posts

HARRYCAT - 10 Oct 2007 11:19 - 148 of 841

I agree, though it's interesting that Altium Capital still has a buy recommendation with a target of 335p. Not sure what they base that on, but seems a bit optimistic to me.

BigTed - 10 Oct 2007 11:21 - 149 of 841

I had a mexican heatwave the other night, and bloody nice it was too... not sure what base that was either...

cynic - 10 Oct 2007 11:24 - 150 of 841

imo, valueless as it may be, both DOM and RTN are very good brands and companies and i continue to hold both, notwithstanding the probable further squeeze on disposable incomes ....... peeps will still want to eat out and both brands offer that service at value (not necessarily the same as just price) ...... in the longer term, it is far from inconceivable that one or the other or even both will be snapped up.

HARRYCAT - 10 Oct 2007 11:33 - 151 of 841

DOM had a bit of bad press recently over working conditions for their staff, plus they may not reach their target branch openings this year. Am still watching, but not holding at present.
Ted, I should think your 'base' has dropped out after eating a Mexican heatwave! :o)

cynic - 10 Oct 2007 11:49 - 152 of 841

saw that but actually very much a storm in a t-cup ...... branch openings are of much greater import both to profitability and, more importantly, market sentiment towards the company
