bunny - I see you've begun to relax. You do realise that they can arrive at any time - day or night. You need to be afraid - very afraid.

As well as the usual, they are looking for dodgy habits - like re-warming 2 day old puddings, recycled tea bags, checking your licence to sell alcohol etc. They also work closely with the VAT man so I hope your books are in order.

Nothing gets past them I'm afraid .......

Socco is back on-line. Lost all power around 20:30 last night and did not get it back till 06:13 this morning. Our street has a duff cable in it that blows about every six months and we go through the same palaver. We keep a drawer full of candles and torches for just such an event. Unfortunately they don't yet make candle-power PCs.

Bunny, no need to worry. All our stuff is fully in compliance with regulations. Besides that I have sorted the H&S and VAT people out. I have photographic evidence of their "indiscretions" which will make them most amenable to giving us a clean bill of health.

Also there is no problem with our license to sell alcohol, we don't need one since we don't sell it, we give it away.

Tea and coffee on now. Where is Bunny with the Danish?

Bad day for MCA, glad it's not one of mine. Might make a good recovery play though, I'll put it on my watch list.

Amazing isn't it? I sit here twiddling my thumbs all morning alone, and then when I have to go out, everyman and his dog pops in. I must be using the wrong soap or something!
