AFC Energy's operating losses fell to £2.7m in the six months to the end of April- down from £3.8m last time.
And the group said it was on track to reach initial demonstration of a commercially deployable fuel cell by the end of this year.
The company reported net cash inflow in the six-months to 30 April of £5.5 million (30 April 2016: £1.1 million net outflow) as a result of its careful control of operating and capital costs, and the successful fundraise which raised a total of £8.1 million, gross.
Chief executive Adam Bond said: "I am extremely pleased with the very strong technical progress made by AFC Energy during the first six months of this year, particularly underpinned by the collaboration agreement with De Nora.
"The company has a strengthened balance sheet following the fundraise in March 2017, has commenced engineering studies on deployment projects, and strengthened its leadership team, positioning the company well for the aggressive work programme set for initial demonstration of commercial operating parameters by the end of 2017."

I think the chart speaks for itself.....we are all here to make money from our investment and it appears none of us are! I only have a small stake but wish I didn't have one at all.

re - we are all here to make money from our investment and it appears none of us are!
well, that is the reason I only take punts from time to time, when they are well oversold and volume on them.
Some very good return some time back, but the last two there was not much to take home, so not more punts for the moment being.
Long term jam tomorrow, never comes in this share it seems
