Sorry for flitting in and out recently, but everything is in the air for me at the moment, I hope you will understand.
Am going to do so again I'm afraid, but must say thank you for your thoughts.
Had "follow-up" long talk with my dad's medical team today, his condition is too far developed to give any real hope.
So am going to take a bottle of brandy, sit in the corner, and drink and cry myself to sleep..:-(((

Sorry to hear of your troubles, Stormy. I, like many others, have gone through a similar thing recently and it's not fun.

Depending on the way your mind works, you may find it helpful to distance yourself from the painful present and think in broader terms... With all their expertise, wishes, and thoughts, doctors and relatives cannot actually stop anyone from passing away, all they can hope to do is to delay the coming of the day. For me, it put the struggle into perspective. Make the most of his final days and focus on celebrating what came before.

Stormy, sorry to hear about your dad, my advice is the same as Kayaks, try and make the best of the time you have together.

Having to deal with this sort of thing is one of the things I hate most about getting older.

Stormy - big hug from us ladies and go easy on the brandy.
