An article in The Sunday Times dated 12 September 2004 included a statement
attributed to an adviser of Wal-Mart that Wal-Mart had ruled out a bid for
Matalan. At the request of the Takeover Panel, Wal-Mart can confirm that these
comments were not authorised by Wal-Mart. The only authorised statement, in
accordance with Wal-Mart's normal policy, is that Wal-Mart does not make
comments regarding its future intentions.

Haven't been watching this, as I'm already sold out. But there's little
movement right now share price wise, it's all a bit odd......
Just watch out for a drop, it may not happen, but if it does there
may not be much time to get out before you've lost a fair bit of good profit.
I'll keep my ears crossed for you guys that it doesn't drop and goes
orbital instead! Be Lucky!!

its normal mtn trade,sw.you can only chase so high/without an offer,dont be surprized if it closes above 2.25 , i wont be .

there seems a bit of interest in lee cooper from outside,roll on november 2nd.

seems a logical move for mtn to offload the manufacturing unit and make it simpler for any prospective buyer especialy if it were walmart as I am sur they would not want to be bothered getting rid of anything, maybe thats what they have been discussing on all their trips over here ?/

This is becoming like a marathon holding this,there`s a break out/a price slide/and a period of sleep,till the next breakout then,oh its here,fingers crossed.

It's called volatility dave...and don't we just love it.
