Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).
Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.
cheers GF.

During the later parts of the budget when it flags a bit, I'm going to speak in the comedy 'black man' voice we all do at Eton.

Watch the Panorama 'PFI' programme again at:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b0184xg1/Panorama_Whos_Getting_Rich_on_your_Money/
It kicks off by talking about a school that is completely devoid of any light switches. The lights are on permanently and cannot be turned off.
This is 'Barking Mad!" to say the least. The PFI company had absolutely no interest in providing a service, only with making a ton of money.
About 300bn tons of money, actually.
The whole PFI thing is an utter outrage and has been going on for 15 years! There's a Liverpool hospital used as an example,
'built on a cost to your successors bank balance, Mr Prime Minister'. And of course, Gordon Brown and New Labour was only in power for 10 years.

I was at my local council office today to get a parking permit renewed. The workers there are not going on strike tomorrow, which is suprising as it is a very left wing Labour Borough.

Tanker,
You say, 'The school where you can not turn the electric off' .
Perhaps a PFI was used at the royal Mint, after all they don't appear to be able to turn the printing presses off.
Another scam.
Anyone see Bercow's 37,000 portrait and coat of arms story, the amount being paid by us the tax payer.
I wonder what a coat of arms for 'Greedy B*****rd would look like, perhaps a fat man guzzling huge wades of money, whilst sticking his middle finger up.
The excuse is that the painting will belong to the country, So thats all right then, I feel a lot better!
