no ..... if you believe in the company, this is not a bad level at which to buy more if that is your inclination ..... i probably have enough already, but if sp falls to say 70/75, then greed may get the better of me ..... the likes of VOG are often driven by sentiment and (overexcited) news, so as VOG decline to go down that route, drift is to be expected

i am still holding 70000 of these shares. I am on a terrific loss on these. Lets hope there is good news to come. I had stopped looking at this one for a while. I can still remember the day they went up .80 pence in one day. this was on good oil find. good luck all holding.

imo, VOG is potentially oversold, and was vaguely contemplating buying some more at +/-75 ..... today's rise may well be something of nothing, for indeed i too do not belive any announcement is due imminently ..... actually, i am very pleased to seee VOG management keeping a low profile until they have something sensible and genuine to put out.

Cynic - I did exactly that. My original holding I bought at 97p, so showing a bit of a loss, but have noticed that the price fluctuates & subsequently bought yesterday at 75p. Haven't sold yet, but 10% in 24 hours! I wish I knew why it had gone up though, as I could then make a judgement as to how far it will go.

harry ..... if you believe VOG will ultimately come good, starting with a sound full report from Well 103 (due Dec/Jan from memory), then i reckon there is plenty of upside ...... it would also bring the company back into focus for investors, for imo, sp has slipped over the last 6/8 weeks purely on inertia

I'm probably wrong but if there is an RNS out tomorrow and the news is good I would expect the sp to be firming up by now imo

Don't know if this has any significance for VOG, spotted by a motley poster.
The head of Russia's National Oil Institute Fund, a fund that promotes the development of small oil and gas producers, was shot dead this morning in Moscow, according to Russian media reports.
The Itar-Tass news agency report quoted local prosecutors as saying Zelimkhan Magomedov, 50, general director of the National Oil Institute Fund, was shot twice in the head.
The website of the institute says it is a non-commercial organisation founded in 2003 and works to foster development of small and medium-sized oil and gas producers.
A woman who responded to a telephone call at the National Oil Institute but would not identify herself by name declined to comment on the incident.
"A criminal investigation for a contract killing has been opened," Svetlana Petrenko, an official at the Moscow prosecutor's office, told AFP.
Magomedov's death is the latest in a series of apparent contract killings in Moscow in recent months, including those of investigative reporter Anna Politkovskaya and the deputy head of the Russian Central Bank, Andrei Kozlov.
