goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

Aids.

Are you homophobic?

From a number of your postings it seems to me that you throw an unusual number sexual innuendoes around. Generally alluding to the sexual choices of others.

Would you like to be more specific?

My daughter and I went through the McDonald's take-out window and I gave the girl a 5 note. Our total was 4.20, so I also handed her a Twenty pence piece
She said, 'you gave me too much money.'
I said, 'Yes I know, but that way you can just give me a pound back
.'She was puzzled and went to get Fred1new, the manager who asked me to repeat my request. I did so, and he handed me back the 20 pence and said 'We're sorry but they could not do that kind of thing.'
The girl then proceeded to give me back 80 pence in change!

Do not confuse the staff at MacDonalds

We had to have the garage door repaired.. The GARADOR repairman, Fred1new, told us that one of our problems was that we did not have a 'large' enough motor on the opener.
I thought for a minute, and said that we had the largest one GARADOR made at that time, a 1/2 horsepower. He shook his head and said, 'Madam, you need a 1/4 horsepower.'
I responded that 1/2 was larger than 1/4 and he said, 'NOOO, it's not. Four is larger than two.'We haven't used Garador repair since. Happened in Moor Park, Nr Watford

Beware!

Wi-Fi laptops may damage sperm

Using a laptop that is connected to the internet via Wi-Fi can potentially damage sperm, a study suggests.

Sperm samples placed beneath a laptop with a wireless internet connection for just four hours were found to have reduced motility and more DNA damage compared with other samples stored under the same conditions but away from the laptop.

The study, published in the journal Fertility and Sterility, took sperm samples from 29 healthy men, aged 26 to 45. Each of the samples were then separated into two pots.

One set of samples was placed beneath a laptop connected to the internet via Wi-Fi as it downloaded information, while the other set was stored under identical conditions - including temperature - but away from the computer.

Government policy.

The deeper we sink into debt, the more we should borrow.

They rule over us, and the scary part is etc, etc.

And another thing.

I suppose it depends how much porn your watching at the time!

Fred1new - 30 Nov 2011 16:49 - 13513 of 81564

How many of the UK don't go into debt at for a large part of their lives.

To go into debt for a period is sometimes for the majority of people.

It depends on what for, and why.

The tory mantra about debt is fine for those with golden gob stoppers at birth, but with the complexities of a so called modern society it is almost a necessity.

I knew Eton taught by rote, but by the constant repetition on of the "debt rant" is grating on the public in general.

It sounds more like the death rant of a failing coalition.

Haystack - 30 Nov 2011 17:20 - 13514 of 81564

The coalition is doing very well. The Uk has one of the lowest interst rates for bonds. The reason is that the international community can see that we are doing the right things in cutting public spending. Can you imagine the disaster if Labour was in government, especially this particlualr very left-wing version? They would be delaying the cuts, borrowing more and more and giving us interest rates closer to Italy, Spain Portugal, Ireland and possibly Greece.

You only have to look at the silly strikes today and Labour's weak agreement with the unions to see what life would be like under a Socialist goverment. If we had an election right now, the Conservatives would romp home. Unfortunately, we won't have an election for a long time yet.

2517GEORGE - 30 Nov 2011 17:45 - 13515 of 81564

Haystack----The fact that we do have such low interest rates because the Tories are sticking to the austerity measures seem to be lost, and let's not forget the last two changes in government, when labour via Tony Blair came to power they inherited a thriving economy with money to burn, and whilst the economy cannot always thrive which it didn't during the Gordon Brown premiership, so not apportioning all the blame for the economy at their door, but, Labour certainly burnt all our money, and some Labour MP's took great delight in letting the Tories and the electorate know that the cupboard was bare. They had during their term wasted billions.
