How many of the UK don't go into debt at for a large part of their lives.

To go into debt for a period is sometimes for the majority of people.

It depends on what for, and why.


The tory mantra about debt is fine for those with golden gob stoppers at birth, but with the complexities of a so called modern society it is almost a necessity.

I knew Eton taught by rote, but by the constant repetition on of the "debt rant" is grating on the public in general.


It sounds more like the death rant of a failing coalition.

The coalition is doing very well. The Uk has one of the lowest interst rates for bonds. The reason is that the international community can see that we are doing the right things in cutting public spending. Can you imagine the disaster if Labour was in government, especially this particlualr very left-wing version? They would be delaying the cuts, borrowing more and more and giving us interest rates closer to Italy, Spain Portugal, Ireland and possibly Greece.

You only have to look at the silly strikes today and Labour's weak agreement with the unions to see what life would be like under a Socialist goverment. If we had an election right now, the Conservatives would romp home. Unfortunately, we won't have an election for a long time yet.

Haystack----The fact that we do have such low interest rates because the Tories are sticking to the austerity measures seem to be lost, and let's not forget the last two changes in government, when labour via Tony Blair came to power they inherited a thriving economy with money to burn, and whilst the economy cannot always thrive which it didn't during the Gordon Brown premiership, so not apportioning all the blame for the economy at their door, but, Labour certainly burnt all our money, and some Labour MP's took great delight in letting the Tories and the electorate know that the cupboard was bare. They had during their term wasted billions.

Indeed. Ken Clarke left Labour a very strong economy, which they manged to ruin.
There are only two Labour policy types. There is 'Tax and Spend'. When that one stops working due to squeezing the public too hard they revert to their other favourite policy known as 'Borrow and Spend'. This proves popular for a time as the public is fooled into thinking that the burden of tax has lightened slightly. Then it comes and slaps them in the face when it becomes clear that their options have run out. Socialism is like that. It is inflexible. The good thing about Capitalism is that it is infinitely modifiable. The range of strategies is vast. Socialism and its parent Communism relies on dogmatic principles such as five year plans etc; hence the demise of communism and socalism.

If they are not healthy and uninjured what do they do in Israel and Islamic country's ?

Why don't these people use common sense when reading religious book's that were written so long ago ? At the time they were wrote they made sense.

Stoning women to death for alleged adultery , cutting off limb's for minor offensive's , putting people into stock's , deporting children for stealing bread in England the law has changed in the uk , mostly for the better.

So why are these Religious book's so outdated ?

Many years ago, I was called to a disturbance on an estate in Bridlington.
On arrival it was discovered that a goat had been slaughtered in the street by holding it over a drain and slitting its throat, obviously upsetting the majority of the estates inhabitance.
As this was about 25 years ago, I can't remember the religion of the person involved in this killing, but I do remember all the barriers put in my way by the powers that be, when I wanted to prosecute the offender.
The offense was quietly put to one side, as 'It would have caused offense to that section of the population', well actually the person was given advice not to do it again.
I remember being incensed by that decision and it was the start of many incidents where I saw the authorities 'Turned the other way', where ethnic minorities (which will soon refer to us, the way things are going), I must add Gypsies to this group.
There are many times when I have dealt with immigrants driving vehicles with no documents, 'I didn't know I had to have a license, and whats insurance and MOT'
All replying in decent understandable English of course, until they reach the Police Station of course then it was, 'No understand, I want solicitor and interpretor'.
Many were never seen again, and as getting them to court was a none starter, many were just let off.

No wonder they flood over here.
They think quite rightly that they have nothing to fear and can get away with just about anything.
