Socrates - 08 Mar 2007 17:59 - 13545 of 24230

Good evening all. That's another weeks work out of the way, hard work this retirement business. Still, I's looking forward to another long weekend.

Sorry Keaydian, I thought I should get my own back for you tying my shoelaces.

Socrates - 08 Mar 2007 19:12 - 13546 of 24230

OK! Who frayed the rope on my hammock? There's a Socco Head shaped dent in the lino now.

Spaceman - 08 Mar 2007 20:43 - 13547 of 24230

lucky you didnt damage the floor Socs....

Socrates - 08 Mar 2007 21:16 - 13548 of 24230

Luck didn't come into it Spacie, a simple matter of the floor being harder than my head. Hopefully I shall be fully compus mentis in the morning.

Big Al - 08 Mar 2007 21:34 - 13549 of 24230

Pissed again, Socs?

Hammocks can be tricky. ............. .Frayed rope? yeah right!

jeffmack - 09 Mar 2007 07:25 - 13550 of 24230

Good Morning, lots to do, early finish today and no work next week. Hi Hip Hooray

Spaceman - 09 Mar 2007 07:28 - 13551 of 24230

Morning all, bit dull in Hastings, but I am off to Norwich for the weekend and its always nice there ...

Socrates - 09 Mar 2007 07:32 - 13552 of 24230

Yes, frayed rope! After I replaced the rope I had a great night sleep, apart from a bit of cramp in the leg. Hence I'm up early, sweeping out the empties and cooking breakfast. I've got some real smoked kippers too, not those modern dipped things, and some kedgeree made with fresh smoked salmon.

Spaceman - 09 Mar 2007 07:33 - 13553 of 24230

Socs, Kippers sound yummy can I have a couple please with a slice of white bread and a nice cup of tea....

Big Al - 09 Mar 2007 07:35 - 13554 of 24230

;-)))

jeffmack - 09 Mar 2007 07:36 - 13555 of 24230

Thats what you miss being in Paris, a nice cup of tea. Builders mug for me please socco.

Spaccie, get your rod out

Socrates - 09 Mar 2007 07:40 - 13556 of 24230

Ooh, company, and so early too. OK Spacie, pair of nice, fat kippers coming up. I'll make a fresh pot of tea, the first one I made at 07:00 so it is a bit stewed now.

Our baker is a good sort, the bread was still warm when she delivered it. I really like her service, there is nothing like a nice hot roll first thing in the morning.

Spaceman - 09 Mar 2007 07:41 - 13557 of 24230

So its rod out and a hot roll? or have I misread something?

Socrates - 09 Mar 2007 07:44 - 13558 of 24230

'Morning Jeffers, mug of tea coming up, half pint size ok. Or is it half a litre? Whatever, its a jolly big mug of tea.
[:-)

Socrates - 09 Mar 2007 07:45 - 13559 of 24230

Spacie, I think he's talking about a fishing rod, but I could be mistaken.

Socrates - 09 Mar 2007 07:51 - 13560 of 24230

Ah this is the life. Nice fresh brekkies, gentle classics playing on the wireless and swaying lazily in the hammock. What more could a body want? No sign of the ladies yet, must be having a lie in, again.

Spaceman - 09 Mar 2007 07:51 - 13561 of 24230

Ah I see ;-)

Kippers were excellent any left .....

Socrates - 09 Mar 2007 07:52 - 13562 of 24230

Plenty, a virtually unlimited supply.
