bingobingham - 10 Nov 2006 08:19 - 1359 of 2511

It would be nice, but I will not hold my breath....

TheMaster - 15 Nov 2006 15:34 - 1360 of 2511

Prelims due and RNS being released today/tomorrow, according to the other side

hlyeo98 - 15 Nov 2006 16:01 - 1361 of 2511

RNS not so soon, master.

skyhigh - 15 Nov 2006 16:01 - 1362 of 2511

Lets hope it's cheery news.. it's so grim at the moment... can see these going down further if there's no good stuff in it ! (sorry about the obvious comment)

skyhigh - 15 Nov 2006 16:03 - 1363 of 2511

I'm probably wrong but if there is an RNS out tomorrow and the news is good I would expect the sp to be firming up by now imo

TheMaster - 15 Nov 2006 16:06 - 1364 of 2511

It is, look at today's graph, remember with shares do the opposite that your brain tells you.

Don't know if this has any significance for VOG, spotted by a motley poster.
The head of Russia's National Oil Institute Fund, a fund that promotes the development of small oil and gas producers, was shot dead this morning in Moscow, according to Russian media reports.
The Itar-Tass news agency report quoted local prosecutors as saying Zelimkhan Magomedov, 50, general director of the National Oil Institute Fund, was shot twice in the head.
The website of the institute says it is a non-commercial organisation founded in 2003 and works to foster development of small and medium-sized oil and gas producers.
A woman who responded to a telephone call at the National Oil Institute but would not identify herself by name declined to comment on the incident.
"A criminal investigation for a contract killing has been opened," Svetlana Petrenko, an official at the Moscow prosecutor's office, told AFP.
Magomedov's death is the latest in a series of apparent contract killings in Moscow in recent months, including those of investigative reporter Anna Politkovskaya and the deputy head of the Russian Central Bank, Andrei Kozlov.

Herad that the prelims RNS out later today, expect buying from now on

TheMaster - 16 Nov 2006 10:53 - 1367 of 2511

Just read the two page 'Shares mag' press column on VOG, rated as high risk buy.

hlyeo98 - 16 Nov 2006 11:21 - 1368 of 2511

Yes very high risk given the fact that the Russian may forced them to sell the business off at a very low price...this would finish VOG off for sure.

TheMaster - 16 Nov 2006 11:33 - 1369 of 2511

Think it could be one of the big boys such as BP or Shell who bid for VOG, to get a foot in Russia.

HARRYCAT - 16 Nov 2006 11:37 - 1370 of 2511

Surely all exploration stocks are high risk buys??? That is the nature of the business.

700202 - 16 Nov 2006 18:14 - 1371 of 2511

should be any day

skyhigh - 17 Nov 2006 09:15 - 1375 of 2511

TheMaster,
Not wishing to appear scoring points but..post 1364.... there appears to be no firming up afterall...in fact, sp has dropped off again... very disappointing week!

cynic - 17 Nov 2006 09:22 - 1376 of 2511

probably on the back of the extended article in Shares Mag ..... for myself, am very happy to sit with my current holding and will consider adding if sp falls far enough ..... have not yet set a target for that, though 68p is a support level from memory

TheMaster - 22 Nov 2006 16:27 - 1377 of 2511

RNS out with regard to institution holding 16%, prelims due out in the morning.
