Winter's returning next week, Old Socs. Hope you and Xanthippe have had your flu jabs.

Hi Hilary, great to see you again. Yes, we are both jabbed up to the eyeballs and have pulled our thick socks from the wardrobe. If you don't like cold this does seem the place to be, it never seems to be quite as bad as most other places. Mind you, if you go five miles from here in any direction, it is a different story.
How is the trading story going? Still coining it in? I have at least now got control of my portfolio and started showing blues instead of reds, still got some of the old dogs though.

The opposite is cured with the opposite... Not Urdu, I think it's Icelandic.

JS, I checked, it is latin and is one of Hippocrates sayings. Your translation is spot on.

It's Saturday morning in Cheltenham and only a few of the Gold Cup revellers remain. Traffic jams return to normal and a relative quiet descends upon this sedate regency town. Back to sleep....zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Time for a FEB I reckon.

Good day in Cheltenham yesterday. Great weather until early afternoon but turned a bit grey and breezy for last couple of races. Back to Paris Monday.

Jeff, I looked after Paris for you last week, it was all OK when I left on Thursday evening. Strasbourg for me next week and then back to Paris the week after.

I am amazed at all these jet-set folk, travelling all over Europe to earn a crust. Bring in the Euros fella's, it all helps the balance of payments.
As for me, complete retirement is now in view and I should be a full time denizen of the Cafe from about the end of May. I'm looking forward to that.
Sunny day here in Cheltenham, but cold and blustery so it should blow the cobwebs away,
Yet again I am a lottery winner, failed. I think I shall take up backing horses, at least the odds are better, even if you don't stand to win so much.
