Socrates - 16 Mar 2007 11:05 - 13688 of 24230

So was it correct, who knows? In any event there will be a correction!

JS, I don't understand, I never learned Urdu.

JStratford - 16 Mar 2007 11:35 - 13689 of 24230

The opposite is cured with the opposite... Not Urdu, I think it's Icelandic.

Socrates - 16 Mar 2007 11:54 - 13690 of 24230

JS, I checked, it is latin and is one of Hippocrates sayings. Your translation is spot on.

JStratford - 16 Mar 2007 12:14 - 13691 of 24230

Well there's a suprise ;-)

stockbunny - 16 Mar 2007 13:17 - 13692 of 24230

KEAYDIAN - 16 Mar 2007 14:21 - 13693 of 24230

optomistic - 16 Mar 2007 14:52 - 13694 of 24230

Most scarce recently wabbits are, especially the ones that do SB's :-)

Socrates - 17 Mar 2007 11:22 - 13695 of 24230

It's Saturday morning in Cheltenham and only a few of the Gold Cup revellers remain. Traffic jams return to normal and a relative quiet descends upon this sedate regency town. Back to sleep....zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Time for a FEB I reckon.

jeffmack - 17 Mar 2007 12:35 - 13696 of 24230

Good day in Cheltenham yesterday. Great weather until early afternoon but turned a bit grey and breezy for last couple of races. Back to Paris Monday.

Spaceman - 17 Mar 2007 15:15 - 13697 of 24230

Jeff, I looked after Paris for you last week, it was all OK when I left on Thursday evening. Strasbourg for me next week and then back to Paris the week after.

Socrates - 18 Mar 2007 09:48 - 13698 of 24230

I am amazed at all these jet-set folk, travelling all over Europe to earn a crust. Bring in the Euros fella's, it all helps the balance of payments.

As for me, complete retirement is now in view and I should be a full time denizen of the Cafe from about the end of May. I'm looking forward to that.

Sunny day here in Cheltenham, but cold and blustery so it should blow the cobwebs away,

Yet again I am a lottery winner, failed. I think I shall take up backing horses, at least the odds are better, even if you don't stand to win so much.

snoball - 18 Mar 2007 20:29 - 13699 of 24230

Socs, have you ever thought of betting on the stock market?

Socrates - 19 Mar 2007 09:03 - 13700 of 24230

Snoball, bet on the stock market?

I think I'll have some breakfast.

stockbunny - 19 Mar 2007 09:08 - 13701 of 24230

Socrates - 19 Mar 2007 09:23 - 13702 of 24230

Good morning Bunny, I'll share a pot of tea with you. I'll pass on the Danish though, just a bowl of sherry trifle for me please. Very nippy here today, I hope you have your fur on.

JStratford - 19 Mar 2007 09:29 - 13703 of 24230

Morning all, Mug of tea and a lovely warm danish please.

stockbunny - 19 Mar 2007 09:37 - 13704 of 24230

Morning each :>)
Mugs of hot tea, a danish for JS and a bowl of trifle for Socs!

Socrates - 19 Mar 2007 09:42 - 13705 of 24230

A bit of blue on my portfolio today, the weather is of course a different matter. Not too bad here, cold with a few showers.

JStratford - 19 Mar 2007 09:53 - 13706 of 24230

Thanks bunny.
Think I'll curl up in front of the cafes fire today. Anyone who wants to join me for intelectual debate (!) is welcome.

Socrates - 19 Mar 2007 09:58 - 13707 of 24230

Intellectual debate, Mmmmm. Do sheep know when you are pulling the wool over their eyes?
