It's Saturday morning in Cheltenham and only a few of the Gold Cup revellers remain. Traffic jams return to normal and a relative quiet descends upon this sedate regency town. Back to sleep....zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Time for a FEB I reckon.

Good day in Cheltenham yesterday. Great weather until early afternoon but turned a bit grey and breezy for last couple of races. Back to Paris Monday.

Jeff, I looked after Paris for you last week, it was all OK when I left on Thursday evening. Strasbourg for me next week and then back to Paris the week after.

I am amazed at all these jet-set folk, travelling all over Europe to earn a crust. Bring in the Euros fella's, it all helps the balance of payments.

As for me, complete retirement is now in view and I should be a full time denizen of the Cafe from about the end of May. I'm looking forward to that.

Yet again I am a lottery winner, failed. I think I shall take up backing horses, at least the odds are better, even if you don't stand to win so much.

Any sheep, could be the woolly sort or the metaphorical sort of sheep, like women and fashion or men and football! You choose.

So could it, possible, be a metaphore for women pulling the wool over mens eyes perhaps? Or am I just being silly!
