It's true there was a decent rise mid-2011 (July Sun?) but it's been falling ever since.

OXB just never seems to keep hold of its rises, so I guess it mainly MM's having a laugh.
At these prices you'd expect folk to be falling over themselves, but I made a nice turn recently and sold half - should have sold them all.
+ Still have large holding from earlier and higher, say average 20p but reported deals will transform this foal into a thoroughbred winner (er, I hope!).

However, there is not much evidence others think the same...

Oakapples142 - 15 Dec 2011 11:05 - 1399 of 1451

The MMs are certainly at it to-day - 4 mil buys 1 mil sells and down 25%.

hangon - 15 Dec 2011 20:47 - 1400 of 1451

I don't understand why there's been a great fall, I thought the clinical update was very positive - to the extent if they'd risen to 6p I might be a Buyer - but clearly the Market as a whole thinks this (result?) is Negative - were they expecting a OTC pill?
- oh no, I get it -Happy Pills, that's what they should have been making - and we've yet to hear if their "new facility" has be finished.

My comment yesterday, was premature, eh? "..However, there is not much evidence others think the same..."

So, who were part of tabasco's 'crew?'

Did try and tell him that drug comps were a waste of time but of course he knew better, hey ho.

hangon - 20 Dec 2011 21:10 - 1403 of 1451

Anyone understand why the recent News has been treated as "bad"?
EDIT(10Feb2012)- A.Wood steps aside as FD; pity. +I bought some more last month as near cash-value approaches.
EDIT(15Feb2012)-Oh deary, Dir add a few to his 300,000shares (£9K)DYOR. Not exactly a big invt?
EDIT(17April2012) - Big rise on PhI/II PD results, but these were expected, weren't they? Back soon to 3p I guess.
EDIT,(6Jn2012)- 3p04 now just, below latest buys, to be expected with the Greeks rioting again, soon. I'm hopeful it will rise=double figures like 60p before we're Out.

robstuff - 04 Apr 2012 18:42 - 1404 of 1451

Their new plant has been given approval and the sp drifts down - presumably because they have nothing to put in it.
Anyone know the formula for Whatsits?
A profit . . . .

sp abt. = 2p37
EDIT:(8Jy2012)- Oh deary and I'm understanding the Begging-Bowl is out again, no need to polish it, it was cleaned by we saps only recently.
Rights Issue and Open Offer (DYOR), suggests the City isn't too keen. . . . Have bought about 1/3 my entitlement only - wait and see, eh?
EDIT(24Jy2012)-sp 2p24 (Open/Rights=2p5) - so already cheaper to buy in the Market...Oh deary!
EDIT (3Aug2012)- 2p17 today . . . Hurrumph!
EDIT (8Aug2012):- Interim results of Retina trial seem to be positive (+ more patients recruit); reads like good news. sp 2p23
EDIT (1May2013)-Novartis deal - not enormous, but earns OXB abt 10% of Mkt Cap p.a. - and has lifted sp off 1p5... to just over 2p
EDIT (18July2013)- Oh deary, down to 1p45 -does the Market really know something???

hangon - 15 Aug 2013 13:29 - 1412 of 1451

I must say the recent (10 June 2013 - DYOR) round of Director Buys was pathetic . . . about £2k a piece that says "Sell" IMHO.
(- Levels above £50k-each, say "Buy" - )
Yet we read they have new funding for a Research programme and so on - but I didn't read any Cash-value . . . so poor old OXB struggles to find enough money to feed the elec.Meter, so the AIR-con can be returned to "Cool" - which is what Shareholders appear to get each year.

Brr!

Chart says it all . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . n o t h i n g

Robstuff - later Post - (EDIT 10Sept2013)-can't see any reason, maybe a rogue trader fell off his keyboard . . . . for any serious price-rise we need to see a sea-change in fortunes - and IMHO that can only come from Sales to a big Pharma - not a sell-out hopefully at 9p but product deals that change this from a scurrying-around for sweeties business - - to one at the adult-table with boxes full of repeat-orders. I Hope.
This stock has been poorly presented and managed (as far as loyal shareholders are concerned), that they "probably" need an injection of new blood . . . . to wrestle this from oblivion . . . .
EDIT (13Sept2013)- I think the reason was Director sm-purchase, nothing to get excited about . . . but a Buy, is a buy...expect slippage.
EDIT (27Jan2014)- 3p5 Looks like Market is +ve on this now . . . maybe 2014 is THE year we've waited for . . . so very long...

robstuff - 06 Sep 2013 14:03 - 1413 of 1451

Has something leaked? - up 27% today

robstuff - 06 Sep 2013 15:53 - 1414 of 1451

anyone know why the rise - up 30%!!

Oakapples142 - 11 Sep 2013 14:02 - 1415 of 1451

You were right robstuff and now we know why - this is a big one and a major step in the right direction.

Oakapples142 - 12 Sep 2013 12:32 - 1416 of 1451

Up another 12% to-day - Its been a long patient (!) (prostate) wait but looking worthwhile even from a financial point of view.
