I don't feel anti-British, but some of its actions and policies of this and previous governments relate back to philosophies of previous periods. I think some of these policies often create animosity towards this country as a whole.

Also, many actions over the last 50 years have appalled me. From Suez on to Iraq etc.

The Colonel Blimps in government and introduce of British policies and actions, have a lot to be ashamed of.

I think, the remnants of those, are still to be seen in the far right wing of the tory right.


Rather than wanting to be integral part of Europe and part of its future development, the right wingers would prefer to prey on its neighbours like latter day pirates.

(The economic war will not be won on the playing field of Eton, and the present leadership remind me of donkeys.)

But in order to maintain his position, I think Cameron has sold himself to a vociferous septic group. A minority of his own party. That seems more like creating an inner party thiefdom which does not bode well for his future,

As far as the Banks are concern, the failure was due to F.S. regulation, governmental resolve and failure to introduce appropriate "regulations".

But also the public as a whole, or at least those who gambled on low interest rates and debt to finance their purchasing on "tick", of houses, cars, holidays and unnecessary junk,etc.

(There were many other reason leading up to the chaos.)

(Prior, to the crash, I use to chat with others like myself who thought it might happen and wondered why it hadn't already happened.)

The most coveted prize in particle physics - the Higgs boson - may have been glimpsed, say researchers reporting at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) in Geneva.

The particle is purported to be the means by which everything in the Universe obtains its mass.

Rumours suggest that two experiments at the LHC see hints of the Higgs at the same mass, fuelling huge excitement.

But the LHC does not yet have enough data to claim a discovery.

The market is not stable as a result of all the bad news here and there. I believe the situation may get worse for the countries, but it will get getter for companies as the governments have to inject money through any means they have, mainly by spending on infrastructure. This will compensate the loss of revenue for Banks.

Olympic is good for the UK too.

In summary, I think it is time to add than to reduce.

Japan's scandal-hit camera maker Olympus has filed revised earnings reports to try to avoid being delisted from the Tokyo Stock Exchange.

The firm filed its reports hours before a deadline passed which would have seen it automatically delisted.

Olympus was asked to refile its earnings because of deceptions and accounting irregularities.
