Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).
Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.
cheers GF.

LHC: Higgs boson 'may have been glimpsed'
The most coveted prize in particle physics - the Higgs boson - may have been glimpsed, say researchers reporting at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) in Geneva.
The particle is purported to be the means by which everything in the Universe obtains its mass.
Rumours suggest that two experiments at the LHC see hints of the Higgs at the same mass, fuelling huge excitement.
But the LHC does not yet have enough data to claim a discovery.

Thanks gibby,
The market is not stable as a result of all the bad news here and there. I believe the situation may get worse for the countries, but it will get getter for companies as the governments have to inject money through any means they have, mainly by spending on infrastructure. This will compensate the loss of revenue for Banks.
Olympic is good for the UK too.
In summary, I think it is time to add than to reduce.

Since the referendum, the Lib Dems have been a destructive presence, endlessly opposing ideas
This is the bit I like
"And consider the politics. To the left is a Labour Party with a foundering leader who remains trapped by his past, has failed to connect with the electorate and is stuck with outmoded economic policies. To the right, the headbangers of Ukip have been rendered even more irrelevant than usual. And in the centre, a pygmyish party that has lost any sense of purpose and would be fighting on the basis of closer European ties.!

Germany is benefitting the most out of Euro's weakness, and they are in control. Low Euro adds to the growth ... ..

I can just see this News headline sometime in 2050s or sooner.
After a meeting with the rulers of Europe's governing body, Adolf Merkle (grandson of Angela Merkle) with the Prime Minister and leader of the UK Muslim lead government, have decided to kick the UK fully out of Europe due to the UKs decision to strictly enforce the teachings of the prophet Mohamed.
At a meeting held in the EU capital Berlin, both the leaders of the Europe German ruling body and their Vichy French ministers stated that there is no room in the new Europe for any country that has vetoed that their populous will not speak German.
It is understood that the UK Prime minister Abdul Malik, insisted that the UK be allowed to continue using Arabic as its first language.

Skinny,
You don't realise just how apt your last post is.
I live about 2 miles from a search and rescue base and helicopters flying over are as common as seagulls.
I do though get your meaning.

"nothing worse than not being able to find a toilet"
I would think not being able to get out of a toilet worse.

I do like a good work of fiction.
Olympus submits earnings to try to avoid delisting
Japan's scandal-hit camera maker Olympus has filed revised earnings reports to try to avoid being delisted from the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
The firm filed its reports hours before a deadline passed which would have seen it automatically delisted.
Olympus was asked to refile its earnings because of deceptions and accounting irregularities.
