Dow Jones Newswires

0904 GMT [Dow Jones] Ormonde Mining's (ORM.DB) results from La Zarza in southern Spain should support the stock, says Seymour Pierce. "We view this as a further positive step on the path to the development of La Zarza, and reiterate our buy recommendation on Ormonde with a 24p target price." Trades +3.7% at 9.9p. (DWE)

LONDON (SHARECAST) - Ormonde Mining has reported positive test results from the La Zarza Gold-Copper Project in southern Spain.

The group said a total of gold recovered from saleable floatation concentrates and gold recovered from pyrite concentrates should be higher than originally targeted.

"The unexpected recovery of a significant proportion of the gold by standard flotation to copper and lead concentrates is a very positive development which gives the company considerable confidence in the testwork programme

stockbunny - 06 Dec 2005 10:06 - 16 of 78

Hey opto fancy a cup of tea?

optomistic - 06 Dec 2005 10:07 - 17 of 78

Two brokers, now that does surprise me!

katcenka - 06 Dec 2005 10:21 - 18 of 78

someone in irelands just bought 400k... smart money I would say

Confidant - 06 Dec 2005 10:29 - 19 of 78

They found gold a long time ago -- this latest news just looks at recovery rates

They have c1m oz in the ground around Spain so not too bad but still some way from getting it out. Small mkt cap means little interest and until they get an independent report saying "it's worth this much..." it will trade well below any potential value

Basically it looks cheap but it has done for more than a year. There is some drilling in other areas likely to provide incremental upside. Newsflow to be steady/good rather than dramatic/exciting

Fact is there are 30 or so other stocks like this in oil or metals. This one I must admit looks both better than most and more overlooked

Good for some medium term return of 50 -150% from here but no reason for a straight jump to 24p as the earnings are still years away

katcenka - 06 Dec 2005 10:31 - 20 of 78

if you read the broker notes, it says very undervalued... i.e. when they do get to know the true value, it will be much more than 24p

Confidant - 06 Dec 2005 10:46 - 21 of 78

But they said this in August too....

katcenka - 06 Dec 2005 10:50 - 22 of 78

No they didnt, they only had zinc in august... read the RNS, the gold is a bonus!!!

Confidant - 06 Dec 2005 11:07 - 23 of 78

A broker called Davy had a note out 25th August highlighing the La Zarza gold copper resource and having a price target of 24p. The gold is not a bonus . See operational report in last interims -- it is what these guys are about

katcenka - 06 Dec 2005 13:56 - 24 of 78

2 buys at 5.9mil from yesterday just reported... bleeding heck... wow!!!

WELL DONE kat up a massive 1% so far looks like your starting to turn the corner.

Kivver - 06 Dec 2005 15:04 - 27 of 78

oh sorry 1.19%

Confidant - 08 Dec 2005 15:21 - 28 of 78

Nice grant from the Spanish tax payer

Don't expect quick move to the 24p target as put out, but more drilling results in two other areas in Spain are due in next few weeks

Kivver - 08 Dec 2005 15:29 - 29 of 78

Hi c'mon give kat a chance with the 24p, he/she has got to get one prediction right (ok i admit every single one completely wrong so far but never give up).

Confidant - 08 Dec 2005 16:04 - 30 of 78

True, but i think he must be at his day job taoday otherwise we would have seen a few bulletins about this already -- on this and most other threads

Kivver - 08 Dec 2005 16:07 - 31 of 78

lol, a bit like the 5 TFC threads he/she is running.

katcenka - 08 Dec 2005 23:28 - 32 of 78
