jeffmack - 05 Apr 2007 10:40 - 14067 of 24230

BL
I will open my French Phrase book and write what I see.

Combien ca va couter

Le kilometrage est-il compris

Bluelady - 05 Apr 2007 11:03 - 14068 of 24230

Hi jeffie,

Combien va coer - a briliiant phrase.......When are you going to take us shopping.... since you are asking whether mileage is included....the next phrase should be..........

"Je voudrais louer une voiture."

I take it you don't need too much french at work.

jeffmack - 05 Apr 2007 11:07 - 14069 of 24230

It would be useful as all the meetings I go to in French. If they need my advice they have to ask in English.

I am learning a little......slowly

stockbunny - 05 Apr 2007 11:09 - 14070 of 24230

Key phrase for JM
1. Please wipe your nose and stop sniffing.
2. I would like a double order of the liver for lunch
;>)

Bluelady - 05 Apr 2007 11:17 - 14071 of 24230

That might explain why you have learnt merde without the use of the phrase book ;0).

I did an 'O' level and 'A' level in french but obviously most of my french nowadays is found on google and not in my head.

KEAYDIAN - 05 Apr 2007 11:39 - 14072 of 24230

Em, this little chat maybe all nice and cosy but I'm still waiting for my tea.

Bluelady - 05 Apr 2007 11:47 - 14073 of 24230

Hi Keaydian,

Big LOL...it's not as if you can sit insignificantly in your chair...one cup of tea with one sugar and danish coming your way.

KEAYDIAN - 05 Apr 2007 11:52 - 14074 of 24230

Thanks BL.

Spaceman - 05 Apr 2007 11:58 - 14075 of 24230

Jeff I hope when you in those meetings that you speak in English very slowly and loudly ;-)

Let me know if you end up in Taverham Mill as its less than a m ile from my place in Norfolk, I might even let you fish in my garden .....

jeffmack - 05 Apr 2007 12:16 - 14076 of 24230

Spacie
If you have some pictures of the river in your garden would be good to see them.

stockbunny - 05 Apr 2007 12:55 - 14077 of 24230

Right that's it I'm exhausted - going to retire to a comfy chair on the porch with a cream cheese bagel, a slice of double chocolate cake and a bag of mini eggs ;>)

Bluelady - 05 Apr 2007 12:57 - 14078 of 24230

Hi stockbunny,

I see you don't calorie count!!!! Which implies that you are young and can take it. ;0)

Spaceman - 05 Apr 2007 13:11 - 14079 of 24230

jeff you have a PM.

Hard boiled egg and cress sandwiches for me, another of my favorites, its also one of the few things I am capable of making without assistance.

I would have had fish fingers but I had them yesterday.

Mrs S is away at the moment but she popped back last night and now I notice that my white bread stash has been removed and replaced with some brown stuff !!!

stockbunny - 05 Apr 2007 13:11 - 14080 of 24230

Hee-hee......smirk....
;>)

JStratford - 05 Apr 2007 13:25 - 14081 of 24230

Afternoon all, busy in here isn't it. Room for two more?

stockbunny - 05 Apr 2007 13:28 - 14082 of 24230

Can't see why not JS :>)

Bluelady - 05 Apr 2007 13:34 - 14083 of 24230

Hi stockbunny,

Good reply to my comment....I understand smirks very well.

Hi J Stratford,

Room for two more, could imply you are intoxicated, looked in the mirror to see if you were presentable and then wanted to enter the coffee house. Or you can't count which isn't very good since you are still young and mental faculties deteriorate with age. Or you've bought someone else with you and have failed to introduce her/him.

Which one is it?

JStratford - 05 Apr 2007 13:41 - 14084 of 24230

Errr.... all three. The lovely Jo is sitting up the other end, and has just told me she's going home today, so perhaps I'll juts sit in front of the mirror. Large glass of something please!!!

stockbunny - 05 Apr 2007 13:44 - 14085 of 24230

BL - sorry I was actually smirking at Spacie loosing his white bread ;>)
However, have now back read the posts and found yours, on the don't calorie count I plead guilty as charged but on the young count I would have to admit sadly I wish.......
LOL

Bluelady - 05 Apr 2007 14:22 - 14086 of 24230

Hi stockbunny,

When I first saw you reply I assumed you were replying to Spaceman but then noticed the timings of yours and Spaceman's posts which were the same and so I took it as a reply to mine. But even so with your new post...the original was still answering mine ;0).

Hi J Stratford,

Best not to sit in front of the mirror drinking whilst thinking of the lovely Jo. A glass of red wine or guinness?
